Help me find a bikini for 13yo DD who's a 30F on top?

Can anyone recommend somewhere we can get a bikini for 13yo DD who's a size 30F/ 32E on top? Naturally, all the things she wants (e.g. New Look, etc) don't work at all as they don't fit on top or give enough support and just fall down or ride up. She doesn't like the look of any of the Bravissimo ones and doesn't want something that obviously looks massively supportive on top. Yet she needs the support. Also, I don't really want to spend £60+ on a bikini that she may have outgrown (or will at least definitely be tired of) next summer.

She doesn't want a plain colour one, nor anything that is too low cut/ plunge or triangle-bikini style.

Help!

Which part of the uk are you in?

minipie · 09/07/2026 22:20

What’s the style she likes, is it the little string & triangle ones?

Voodooray · 09/07/2026 22:21

Try Brastop.com or Pour Moi. Maybe you can find one new with tags on Vinted.

Lins77 · 09/07/2026 22:22

I'm a similar size as is my daughter and we both have bikinis from Fantasie, but I don't know if they would be up your DD's street.

My DD was the same as yours at the same age so I appreciate the issues!

GandTtwice · 09/07/2026 22:22

Pretty Little Thing have some younger style bikinis in bra sizes. My DD is a similar size and managed to get a few different ones for her holiday this year.

Pancakeflipper · 09/07/2026 22:24

Try Freya swimwear. Saw a nice halter style one the other week.

FlappicusSmith · 09/07/2026 22:26

@minipie - no triangle ones. Nothing skimpy. She doesn't want to look 'sexy'! She is a young 13. The one she liked from NL was a high waisted one with a bandeau type top. So nothing that shows or accentuates her cleavage

@Voodooray - thanks. I'll check those out.

@Lins77 Fantasie is £££. But agree, they do nice ones!

@GandTtwice too 'sexy' I think for her... But thanks for the suggestion

Have you tried Freya?

They do some more youthful prints and shapes in larger cup sizes.

Something in a sweetheart neckline or halterneck might work well?

Not too unreasonable prices, and sometimes you can find Freya on sale at Brastop (they also have some good finds from various brands).

FlappicusSmith · 09/07/2026 22:27

@Pancakeflipper Freya also pretty £££ I think? I just can't justify having to spend £30-50 on just the top

Does she want more of a “sporty” look OP? There seem to be a few “sports bra” type bikinis out there at the moment, with more “shorts” style bottoms that could work well?

Yeah, they are not the cheapest. I justify it on the grounds I'll wear it for a good few years!

FlappicusSmith · 09/07/2026 22:32

This is the one she wanted from NL:

So that kind of straight-across top style. But bandeau doesn't really work as it's not supportive enough. She doesn't want anything hat looks like a bra (i.e. most of the Freya and Bravissimo ones). Nothing that shows or creates any cleavage. She hates her underwire bras, so I think will be resistant to an UW bikini.

Impossible!

Have you looked at the surf brands like Roxy and Animal?

No, not sporty per se. Just not revealing up top.

try sale sites for past season models - brastop or Belle Lingerie for example. but unfortunately yes if she needs proper support then the bikinis are pricey,
If she wants sporty then I have this set but I'm only DD, so may not be enough:

ravenclaworslytherin · 09/07/2026 22:33

Have you looked on h&m? I'm a 32gg and have two very supportive and not revealing bikinis from there

FlappicusSmith · 09/07/2026 22:34

So I think she would go for something like this style, if it was in a pattern or colour she liked. I, however, can't afford to spend over £50 on a bikini (once you add in the bottoms)!

No, I didn't even think of them as I assumed they'd be skimpy or unsupportive! I'll take a look, thanks

I really like that! I might get it for me! But I think probably too 'plain' for her and I expect D-DD won't fit either :(

Boux Avenue maybe worth a look.

minipie · 09/07/2026 22:39

The H&M Move sports bikini selection is worth a look

here you can mix and match tops and bottoms

FlappicusSmith · 09/07/2026 22:39

minipie · 09/07/2026 22:34

Is this too sporty/plain?

Yes, unfortunately. She wants a pretty bikini, in a pattern, but not plungey, skimpy, revealing, etc. It's a big ask! And bikinis do seem particularly tiny this year.

A couple of years ago, the style she liked (fuller coverage, square neck) was everywhere...

OP posts:
minipie · 09/07/2026 22:40

Although it is true that H&M bikinis are not generously cut .

SellFridges · 09/07/2026 22:40

I’d look at the surf brands - they usually have more sporty looking ones. I suspect the brands like adidas and Nike do too. You won’t get anything as cheap as a £6 Primarni job though, so I do feel your frustration.
