Help me find a bikini for 13yo DD who's a 30F on top?

Can anyone recommend somewhere we can get a bikini for 13yo DD who's a size 30F/ 32E on top? Naturally, all the things she wants (e.g. New Look, etc) don't work at all as they don't fit on top or give enough support and just fall down or ride up. She doesn't like the look of any of the Bravissimo ones and doesn't want something that obviously looks massively supportive on top. Yet she needs the support. Also, I don't really want to spend £60+ on a bikini that she may have outgrown (or will at least definitely be tired of) next summer.

She doesn't want a plain colour one, nor anything that is too low cut/ plunge or triangle-bikini style.

Help!

I had a Pour Moi bikini one year which was very good - I’m a 32G.

I am a sister cup size with a 28 back and have never found support to be an issue. It isn’t that big. I swim in pools rivers and the sea.

My go-to has always been tie triangle bikinis from Rip Curl, Billabong etc. However, I can appreciate that a 13 year old might not be at all comfortable wearing similar. The Freya active swim range looks like a possibility if they aren’t too thin.

It totally depends on your back size and cup size. When I was a lot slimmer and younger, yes I wore triangle and crop top bikini tops.

Having had a really embarrassing time when I fell out of one side of a bikini completely (halter neck) with laughter from blokes at the side of the pool when on holiday I’ve gone for more support. I don’t want to be “that woman” again whose boob unexpectedly pops out of her bikini top. I’ve been told by bra fitters that I could be a 26 back size but no one makes those or if they do they’re horrendously expensive. So I prefer more bust support now.

Merry Style Womens Bikini Set P610-62VIG https://amzn.eu/d/060FQruD

something like this on Amazon at £19.99? I hand this problem myself at 13 too. I usually get them for myself from Bravissimo but they are very expensive (I bought one today!)

It’s worth a look on Amazon though - my DD has got some from there before which were good.

Would she be ok with black (but not plain)?
this is similar to the ruched top you linked to, it’s heavily reduced and even with the matching pants will be under £25. (The green is also very reduced but no matching pants left so would have to mix & match. White and pink reduced but less so).

Decathlon surfing bikini?

FlappicusSmith · 09/07/2026 22:39

Yes, unfortunately. She wants a pretty bikini, in a pattern, but not plungey, skimpy, revealing, etc. It's a big ask! And bikinis do seem particularly tiny this year.

A couple of years ago, the style she liked (fuller coverage, square neck) was everywhere...

Are you open to handmade from a small business?

We buy a lot from My Brave Pearl (to the point DD is now a rep for their brand) because DD likes bright designs that you just can't get for teenagers on the high street. I've linked an adults bikini top, but if you contact Lisa, the owner via Instagram, she'll be able to tell you if your DD would fit into the teen sizes in the kids section. Lisa is really helpful and is happy to adapt and adjust patterns where needed to get the best fit. DD has a small waist and big bottom and Lisa adapts all her leggings and dresses to accommodate!

A full adults bikini would be £26 so while it's not the cheapest it's not horrendously expensive. Handmade may not be what you're looking for, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

I get my swim/beach wear from bravissimo. It is pricey but its worth it to have something that fits properly. I'm a 28GG-H/30G-GG depending on brand.

Alouest · 10/07/2026 18:57

I am a 30F. I have had some nice swimwear from La Redoute recently and a size 8 seems to fit me well. They currently have a sale on and there are lots of sportier/less skimpy styles.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 10/07/2026 18:59

OP, what I’d get is:-

underwired bikini top (preferably with bottoms)
crop top style bikini top
swimsuit like the one I posted for swimming

Then she has a few options, you could get the crop top bikini top cheaper and it doesn’t matter so much if it’s not perfect.

Also if she does feel self conscious a sarong, kaftan, baggy loose t shirt (long sarong can tie under armpits) are handy. That’s what I do by the pool and on the beach anyway!

FortyFacedFuckers · 10/07/2026 19:46

I am a similar size, next and asos both do those sizes but not sure if they have the style you are looking for

Cetera · 10/07/2026 20:01

Decathlon have the crop top style bikini tops

Isntiticonic · 10/07/2026 20:26

Cupshe have a huge range of swim wear, all shapes and sizes and budgets. Prob largest site I've ever came across.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 10/07/2026 21:16

The more I think of it the more I like Boux Avenue range of bikini tops. But your DD might think they’re revealing.

ChalkOutlines · 10/07/2026 21:35

What about this freya one?

https://ebay.io/m/qyJoGd

Closest i could find in her size , similar to the NL one.

ChalkOutlines · 10/07/2026 21:43

Or maybe try Simply Be in store ? They have a few bandeau tops that she might like and go by (bigger) dress size rather than bra size?

Dered · 10/07/2026 22:49

Try Matalan on line , often have a great range at v reasonable prices

FlappicusSmith · Yesterday 18:59

I missed all the additional responses. Thank you all. I've bookmarked Matalan, George (Asda), Freya sale and a few others that I think she might go for.
