Help me find a bikini for 13yo DD who's a 30F on top?

FlappicusSmith · 09/07/2026 22:17

Can anyone recommend somewhere we can get a bikini for 13yo DD who's a size 30F/ 32E on top? Naturally, all the things she wants (e.g. New Look, etc) don't work at all as they don't fit on top or give enough support and just fall down or ride up. She doesn't like the look of any of the Bravissimo ones and doesn't want something that obviously looks massively supportive on top. Yet she needs the support. Also, I don't really want to spend £60+ on a bikini that she may have outgrown (or will at least definitely be tired of) next summer.

She doesn't want a plain colour one, nor anything that is too low cut/ plunge or triangle-bikini style.

Help!

I am small with a large chest and used to buy from H&M. I'm not sure how the sizing works now but I used to buy a size 12 top with adjustable straps.

Pour Moi is a good brand for larger busts but I suspect might be inappropriate for her age.

Thundertoast · 09/07/2026 23:12

All my suggestions are already on here - as a 32F myself who has similar taste, I can confirm its really difficult (and I am old hat at shopping for my size now) Freya via brastop or Belle Lingerie, if you find styles you like you can also screenshot, put them through the Google lens app, and then filter to the 'shopping' filter and find them on random websites from there in various sizes. Sister sizing also handy so make sure you know her sister sizes.

However the style you linked, Pour Moi have a few very similar! you might need to sister sizes, but if you search 'cami bikini' a few come up that might work, definitely worth checking out, you can filter by non underwater etc but its worth noting that if you sister sizes to a bigger band she might find an underwire comfier, if she is resistant.

need to be able order a range of sizes and return as sizing is so variable

I suppose but for £4 worth a punt no?

marmiteloversunite · 09/07/2026 23:13

Have you tried FatFace? They have some sporty looking tops but they have pretty patterns.

kitcat83 · 09/07/2026 23:19

Matalan have a great range of swimwear and ih cup sizes too

Thank you. but all the ones in her cup size are waaaaaay too sexy/ grown-up for her unfortunately.

I disagree, if she picks a top and matches with solid bottoms from primark/newloik. My ultimate bikini in a 32ff was a triangle style but held me.... was.devastated when my ex burnt it (whole other story)

Bohoboo · 10/07/2026 07:20

Asos have larger cup bikinis so might be worth a look

Nincompoo · 10/07/2026 07:27

I’m 36GG so feel your bikini pain!

I order my bikinis from here https://www.pourmoi.co.uk/swimwear/

I know you said she doesn’t want a triangle ones but as she gets older and changes her mind, I just buy the top in the biggest size they have, usually a 20-22 and then the bottoms in a 12 🤣 they’re easy enough to pick up on the high street then.

Nincompoo · 10/07/2026 07:39

Oh and one thing about bigger boob bikini tops is that I avoid the ones with any padding it as it absorbs water which isn’t much fun for actually swimming and takes ages to dry out when you get out of the water!

FatLarrysBanned · 10/07/2026 07:40

George at Asda always have a good selection of bikinis - lots of mix and match tops/bottoms.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 10/07/2026 07:47

I’m a similar size (28FF) and like Freya and Boux Avenue. I also got a really nice black crinkle swimsuit from F&F (Tesco) that’s supportive and flattering. I’ll post the link for you.

SusanSharon · 10/07/2026 07:54

I’m a similar size and I have a lovely one from Joanie. The top is big enough without looking frumpy. Mine is a peachy orange colour with lobsters. There are lots of new ones for sale on Vinted.

I have a couple of others from Curvy Kate which come in large cup sizes.

PurpleThistle7 · 10/07/2026 08:02

I was a similar size at her age so I get it. It’s worth looking at tankinis too - sometimes they’re just a bit longer than the bikini tops but might give her the right amount of coverage she wants. Unfortunately it’s just more expensive to find stuff to fit properly if you want it to be supportive - but you can get separates and just get the bottoms from H&M or similar if you can find a top that works.

My 13 year old is extremely fussy about clothes - nothing revealing or too loose or too tight or or or. It’s such a tricky age. Finally found a tankini she liked last year and got 3 more when they went in the sale.

Has she looked at the more sports bra type tops? Thats what my daughter ended up with in the end. With swim shorts as she hates bikini style.

SpaceAngel1999 · 10/07/2026 08:03

Pour moi, they do individual tops and bottoms. I’ve bought many from there, good quality and they last

CortieTat · 10/07/2026 08:09

Does she like y2k “modern vintage”? My DD is similar age and she and her friends are all raving about y2k styles.

I recommend Freya and I have a couple of “vintage” styles that my DD really rates, especially tankinis. Freya Vodka Chaser, Supernova, Crystal Cove, Bondi Beach (has foldable briefs). You are likely to find some of these new on eBay, as 30 backs usually don’t sell that well.

I also understand that the budget is important but I believe having the best underwear and the best shoes we can afford is key; they are functional items that should provide support and great fit.

itstoohot2026 · 10/07/2026 08:28

DD who is a similar size has some underwired ones from Hollister. Not too bulky but still ‘supportive’..

24Dogcuddler · 10/07/2026 08:29

There are some Freya tops new on eBay including patterns. Around £18.

3amamama · 10/07/2026 08:31

Have a look at cupshe on Amazon. Some will be too mum style but some are definitely ‘too racy’ for me 😅. Also an F cup.

Sorry racy is the wrong word entirely, my apologies. But basically what I mean is not mum style at all.

Fleur405 · 10/07/2026 09:13

I absolutely loathe waiting for moisturiser to dry or anything sticky or too rich but u also have quite dry skin so have to use it daily. I use this one:

Definitely Cupshe! I’m 30f but will be chunkier than your dd , I wear size small. I buy them on Amazon but have also just got one bnwt on eBay for under a tenner

HanJanFan · 10/07/2026 09:41

Try Decathlon. I've not bought one from there in a few years but they used to do some quite supportive bikinis and I was a similar shape to your daughter at that point.

TheyGrewUp · 10/07/2026 09:48

@FlappicusSmith in the kindest way possible, you and your dd will have to compromise and suck up high prices.

Speaking from experience. DD is 28 now and a 32H/J and a 3.5 very wide shoe fitting. Bras and shoes are v expensive when fittings are atypical.

PissedOff2020 · 10/07/2026 11:11

I’ve always had a very big bust since around 12 or 13 too. When I was younger and my boobs were a bit more pert I would buy separate tops and bottoms - so usually around a size 8 or 10 bikini bottoms and a 16 or 18 string bikini top. It is important to have string because you could just tie it to the correct back size and around the next -

only have to worry about the cup then, the straps were always adjustable. Only downside is it can hurt your neck after awhile when you’re wearing a halter top, so if this ones that can tie his shoulder straps as well, they’re great.

Some shops have bikinis only as a set, I would switch the sizes of the set in the changing room to buy them as the set. That’s much easier to do in places that have self service checkouts… not that I’m recommending that of course, now many places do sell separate tops and bottoms. Back when I was a teen you could get a whole set for a fiver and it used to annoy me that I could never get one unless I swapped the sizes!

Now I’m older I need a bit more support Freya, Figleaves and Clio are my preferred brands.
I often order them from eBay - you can get them quite cheap rather than paying £50 each there’s lots of ex-lingerie shops on there that sell them new.
ASOS & Next sell these brands too, so you could order some check the sizes.
