Help me find a bikini for 13yo DD who's a 30F on top?

Can anyone recommend somewhere we can get a bikini for 13yo DD who's a size 30F/ 32E on top? Naturally, all the things she wants (e.g. New Look, etc) don't work at all as they don't fit on top or give enough support and just fall down or ride up. She doesn't like the look of any of the Bravissimo ones and doesn't want something that obviously looks massively supportive on top. Yet she needs the support. Also, I don't really want to spend £60+ on a bikini that she may have outgrown (or will at least definitely be tired of) next summer.

She doesn't want a plain colour one, nor anything that is too low cut/ plunge or triangle-bikini style.

Help!

I'd look at Funkita. Great designs and as they're made for actual swimming might work well.

Curvey kate or poi moi usually have some nice styles and come in cup sizes

Blessedbethefruitloopss · 10/07/2026 13:25

Freya have a sale on at the moment.
I’m the same size and honestly, for her confidence it needs to be a proper sized one, and the high street don’t stock the small back.
i buy from Freya and Panache. Freya have a few that are like a crop top across the front, with a draw string if you want to make it more bra shaped. I would also say I find Freya true to size.

My Sister had this problem at that age. My Mum used to buy a plain one from somewhere more expensive and then fancier bottoms in a contrasting/ matching colour from somewhere more reasonable and trendy.

Figleaves is still stocked at JD Williams and Simply Be.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 10/07/2026 13:32

Bloomchic do larger sizes and on eBay is more figleaves one 30F it’s a brown white floral mix with size 10 bottoms. But will fit well. Figleaves underwired bikini tops really fitted me well, very supportive too which is crucial.

Something like this maybe? This is Freya active swim range

Can you buy one from one of the brands you like but on vinted so you aren’t spending a fortune? Even if it’s just the top the buy a bottom that would look okay with it.

Rothburypixie · 10/07/2026 13:54

Theres a brand called Curvy Kate I believe and they do larger bust size bikini’s I’m sure

So I think she would go for something like this style, if it was in a pattern or colour she liked. I, however, can't afford to spend over £50 on a bikini (once you add in the bottoms)!

That is really lovely actually.

M and S had some tankini sets that were similar (ruched on the side of the top but not in a clingy way). I think there was a nice and very youthful azure blue and a citrus orange. They came closer to meeting at the middle than this set.

One was called Kyra from memory and then there was a mango coloured bandeau top tankini set. OH but ETA the latter was more bikini style bottoms which might be a good compromise?

As an adult who’s small with f cups, I’ve found that one shoulder ruffle bikinis/swimsuits work best for me! I have a Sainsbury’s one shoulder swimsuit with a ruffle, it is so supportive (without any actual support like underwires etc) and the ruffle aspect covers me/the sag up

Matalan came to our rescue. 19yo dd is 32G.

Would this work op? Just stumbled across it whilst looking for something else

It may work but what the issue here is the narrow back size and large bust. You often don’t look huge to others but you are. And need support at the back and front. Some of these styles would squash OP’s DD and be uncomfortable. As PP said unfortunately you have to try on a lot of tops and they may cost more eg £40 mark.

This is the Tesco F&F swimsuit, I fitted in a 12 but you could go a size up. Even with the slimmer straps I felt fine (wore to a lido the other weekend). An influencer I follow who’s large busted posted this. An absolute bargain and the style and colour are quite timeless.

Notmycircusnotmyotter · 10/07/2026 16:41

I think you have to accept you need to spend money on something properly supportive. £30/40 is not huge if it gives your daughter confidence and stops her experiences back or rib pain.

Partridgewell · 09/07/2026 22:56

I'm a 32E and have often had success in M&S with bikini tops that have a knot tie at the back so that you can adjust the back size iyswim. So I'll buy a size 16 to get big enough cups but can knot it tight so it's not too big round the back.

Yes, that's what I used to do.

I've had success in the past with a crop top style from finisterre - I've not looked at what they've got this year. I actually don't need masses of support, just enough material!

Exactly. I always think 32E isn't as big as it sounds - I definitely need some support but not like some of my friends who have a large back and cup size.

Worthalltheyears · 10/07/2026 16:58

Belle Lingerie might be worth a look. Brastop seem to have some younger styles too.

330ml · 10/07/2026 17:00

I am a sister cup size with a 28 back and have never found support to be an issue. It isn’t that big. I swim in pools rivers and the sea.

My go-to has always been tie triangle bikinis from Rip Curl, Billabong etc. However, I can appreciate that a 13 year old might not be at all comfortable wearing similar. The Freya active swim range looks like a possibility if they aren’t too thin.
