My scent seeker tote has also arrived too and per as usual, I had absolutely no self-control and ripped it open as soon as it arrived 🤣 First impressions;
🤍 Montale Holy Musk – well I was expecting something sweet, cosy and quite projecting / heavy, but instead it's a really clean, close-to-the-skin musk with what my nose picks up as a slightly spicy rose (I'm not sure if that's what it is). It reminds me of a Turkish spa, well, not the spa itself, the peaceful chill out room afterwards. I think it's gorgeous. It's definitely an intimate fragrance rather than a statement one, and whilst it occupies a similar space to Valaya, I can already see myself reaching for it on days when I don't want much projection.
🤍 Maison Crivelli Musc Nurasana – I love the opening of this, it starts off sweeter and stronger than Holy Musk but settles into another beautiful clean skin scent. I do really like it, but at the moment it feels like it sits in a very similar space to Holy Musk, so I'm not sure both were needed in the same edit. I'll need a proper wear to decide.
🌸 Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise Extrait – This was the one I was most excited about and it absolutely didn't disappoint. It's gorgeous! It projects without shouting and feels completely different to the first two. Definitely a winner.
🌺 Bibbi Deep Lotus – well this one is a total surprise and plot twist of the set, I LOVE it! 🤯 I honestly wasn't expecting to as I've not loved any previous bibbi fragrances. It has so much more depth than I imagined and I can't stop sniffing my arm. It actually reminds me of something else in my collection but I can't work out what. It's not the light, airy floral I expected at all. The more I smell it, the more I picture one of those late summer evenings when you've had friends over for a BBQ. It's around 8pm, the sun's setting, everyone's still chatting outside, someone lights the fire pit, you've got a white wine spritz in your hand, you're still in your summer dress and just feeling happy and a little merry. That's exactly when I'd wear deep lotus 🥹🔥🍷
I'm saving the rude oud elixir until saturday because I'm going to compare it side by side with the og at the hbeauty event. I'll try out blue talisman extrait and safran secret are waiting until tomorrow, if I can wait! 😜
