Persistent lowballees who offer an insulting low price then £1 more or 50p more i have been known to accept and immediately block so they think they have won, until they try to check out. Same if they offer, I accept and they then offer lower. Yes it's petty but I find it rather satisfying.

I did this trick the other day after seeing your last post about it 🤣 it amused me, my husband asked me what I was giggling about, then found it funny when I told him.

Stupidly low-ball offers on Vinted often get the person blocked by me, although I don't accept and then block - I'd be worried they'd press "buy now" before I was able to block them.

I put an offer in yesterday of £23 on a £28 bundle (LE kitten lash mascara and a Malin & Goetz candle), which i thought was a bit cheeky, but the seller agreed immediately and thanked me for the reasonable offer!

@JoRaRaRa Yes I put everything I am selling on a spreadsheet and then note how much it’s sold for. I need to change it though so it shows everything I’ve bought, so I can see how much my true spend is.

Re low offers on Vinted, it drives me mad too. I often have something listed for say £20 and I’ll get offered £8.
I’ve had a couple of instances recently where I have made offers to people and they have replied saying it’s too much - if the offer is too much, why favourite it at the full price?! I understand people having a price in mind, but then offer that rather than be narky about the price

I don't think ive ever had a sale from offering to a potential buyer who's favourited. Think on vinted people just favourite to bookmark things.

If something can't sell and is gathering dust I may occasionally accept a lowball. Wish offers were binding as on ebay. Too easy for buyers to offer on everything in sight and nit go through

I offer on everything, generally 5-10% and say open to offers on bundles, and it moves quite a lot of items.

Just to add to the Vinted woes. I bought an AB Retinol serum from Vinted about a month ago after finishing up the one I got from either Harrods or SNK advent. Started it this evening and it doesn't look or smell right - it's a milky white colour rather than the yellow it should be. Suspect it's and old one from an AC 1-2 years past rather than those from 2025, as it's clearly degraded.

Annoying waste of money and too late to do anything about it. Lesson learned to only buy this product during advent season when it's more obvious people are selling from this year's calendar.

Thanks for the offer. I'm going to hang on now and see if it's in any of the AC's I get this year. I've got a couple of Medik8 retinals so I'm not without and really I should use those especially having learned they do indeed have a shelf life.

I agree, I think if a buyer makes an offer it should be binding like on eBay.

@OvaHere I still haven’t tried my AB retinol, AB cream or La Mer oil, I really should move on to these next. I got in to too much of a habit of stocking up on other things.
I’ve purchased a few more La Mer creams while they have been a good price on Vinted (got to be so careful to avoid the fakes though), yet I’ve got more face creams than I can shake a stick at (and serums!)

I buy a lot of kids clothes, beauty and clothes for me and stuff for the house. Grateful to this thread for getting me on Vinted as it’s great for baby and toddler clothes. I’ve found certain brands definitely sell and are expensive to rebuy. So I’ve started only buying those brands. Something could be expensive but it won’t sell - say like Hobbs versus H&M. People who want to buy Hobbs want it new and people who need a new work dress and need it at a lower price probably aren’t looking for Hobbs anyway. It’s the same for beauty, glow recipe and summer Fridays go quick. Wild source cleansing balm not so much. A lot of sellers price to accommodate 40% off (biggest discount) offers, so I guess those buyers don’t know which type of seller you are until you ask. I always message people first, they’re real and usually very friendly! Sometimes I offer well below what Vinted would allow me and just say hey I’ll buy this straight away at this price let me know and a couple of weeks later they message me.

I don’t think it should be binding, Vinted is a quick turnover platform. For things I only want one of, I might offer on a couple and buy the first offer that is accepted. Some sellers may never respond to the offer so I wouldn’t wait. Annoying as there was a dress I offered £7 on, and I’d favourited another listed at £10 and then after I’d bought at £7 the other seller offered me £6 price! Oh well.

For the seller, non binding offers are not far off useless. Much prefer ebay. You can always message seller to check if an offer will be accepted before making it.
