It's just so odd. Hush models are frankly terrifying. M&S has a hefty sprinkle of 'ard. Many of the Seasalt models look like you just pissed on their chips. Mint Velvet, cross. H&M, thoroughly pissed off. Even the White Stuff models look rather disappointed in you.

I’m well aware that in the high fashion modelling industry that many models are bullied by their agencies into having eating disorders because they are literally manipulated into shaving inches off their waist to “book the job”. This can be an extremely toxic industry and these models don’t starve themselves for fun, they do it because they get shit from their agencies for being “too fat”. But to tar them all with the same brush and make fun of them, claim they don’t eat through choice is quite frankly disgusting!

Hopefully he would be OK if you happened to meet him in a dark alley, and were initially concerned he was a serial killer.. OR, HOPEFULLY you’ll meet him in a dark alley?! 🤷🏼‍♀️😈🙀😻😹!

To be clear, what my OP is griping about is the marketing and creative direction. Not the models themselves, who may well be - and very probably are - perfectly cheery and very nice people.

These models don’t get a choice in what pictures are used. The client selects them. It would be a bit shit as a model, when it’s your job to give a variety of facial expressions for you to turn up at a shoot and not give a variety of facial expressions. The client has the final say in what pictures they will use. Once the contact is signed by the model they have zero rights as to what images are used and in most cases the pictures the clients select, the models usually hate. Im
