Sorry everyone! I didn't realise how near the end of the old thread we were.

What on earth have you all done with yourselves for the last few hours? 😂

As always everyone welcome to join in and hopefully this is the thread we see the first 'big' BAC reveal. 😍

Still no DPD notification. What time did you all place orders? I placed my at 21.38 on Friday - am I a late one (assuming they are going through in order)?

@OvaHere I placed mine at 9pm on Friday, so pretty close to that really. I feel like we were the earlier buyers/ first lemmings off the cliff...😂
The money was taken from my account immediately, although it does have a note next to it saying it'll be refunded if the seller doesn't claim it in the next couple of days, so Harrods haven't actually taken the money from the payment provider.

I really rate the Tatcha that was in Harrods.

I find Sheseido too heavily perfumed.

Ive not opened valmont - might try next. I’ve still a lot to use before asvent season 😳

I've been using the tatcha for the last week and broken out in spots over the last few days so that's why it's now gone to the bottom of the list. I took it away with me at the beginning of last month and got a few spots then, I assumed it was the spf but now I'm wondering if that was the tatcha too 😐
The valmont was nice but pilled if I wore it with foundation. I probably should've used it as a night cream instead.
I'm keeping the Shiseido for autumn, I think it'll be good for then especially with the SPF in it. I think it's too rich for right now. I did try it in Harrods and thought it seemed very nice but I've yet to put it on my face.

MrsBnow12 · 06/07/2026 14:32

I like the Tatcha (Indigo overnight repair)that was in Harrods but only using it when my barrier is playing up or my skin feels dry. It is really rich and prefer the Tatcha Dewy Skin cream for my evening routine in summer if using Tatcha.
I am currently using La Mer (am) from a Bridal Beauty box and Innbeauty extreme cream (pm) from a Caroline Hirons kit - probably not much help as neither from an advent.

What does it say online? Mine says 'preparing for shipping' but DPD don't actually have it yet. I don't feel like I trust Harrods until I have it in my hands.

LightandBreezy · 06/07/2026 14:35

@SummerLimes I find all the Shiseido things I've tried to be too heavily perfumed, and I don't mind my cosmetics to be fragranced generally. In fact I normally avoid totally unfragranced things as find them a bit boring ( like the poster earlier was saying about the BoJ cleansing balm) and I like the sensory element of a lovely fragrance.

LightandBreezy · 06/07/2026 14:40

I can't even use the dewy cream at the moment as it feels too rich. I did really like the indigo cream but am saving it for winter days. I had a chat with the Tatcha person in selfridges a couple of weeks ago about this and asked her if I should be switching to the water cream over summer and she said no, that's specifically for oilier skin types, and she gave me some sachets of the new Dewy Milk to try instead. Of course I've not got round to trying yet though.

I recently opened the Sisley Velvet flowers cream as my night cream. I bought it as I love the Velvet Flowers overnight mask but the face cream might be the richest cream I've ever tried.

It's a bit much for this time of year so I'm considering pausing it for a couple of months and opening something a bit lighter.

I wonder how they're doing the orders, I've just looked and it was 11:17pm when I placed my order. They were still showing as in stock in the morning too.

Can't be a time of order thing then. I guess I'll just have to chill and wait it out.

Thanks for the face cream recommendations 😊
I do love La Mer from Harrods BAC, I’ve gone through 3 pots already and have a couple in my stash for later in the year (they accidentally put 2 in my BAC, and I bought more off Vinted.

I’ve not tried the Valmont yet, I didn’t realise it was a day cream, I thought it was an overnight mask; must pay more attention!

Annoyingly, I was really looking toward to trying the Lancaster, but DH bought a BAC as well with the intention of selling it on (my fault for telling him how much they were going for on eBay the previous year), and there were no Lancaster products in there so I told him he could have mine to make a complete set.
Actually, it’s his fault as I told him to check the contents but he didn’t, he just took it to his parents so it was out of the way and not mixed up with mine (plus I had too many BACs in the way as it was 😅). When he finally brought it back I checked through it and noticed the missing items.
I mean really, he could just give the whole BAC to me for this year 😁

The Shiseido was alright, I just found it too thick and fragranced. Again, I don’t mind fragranced products, it was just a bit more than I’d prefer.
Obviously, La Mer is thick too, but this one (as with the Medik8 spf cream) is thick in another way that makes it less appealing to use.

LightandBreezy · 06/07/2026 15:12

@OvaHere I had a very generous sample of the Velvet cream and yes, it is super rich and nourishing - I used it in early spring and have another I'm saving for when I'm putting the heating on - my skin will love me for it then. It is gorgeous though. In the interests of research 🤓I've just used one of the Dewy milk sachets - still pretty rich I'd say and feels like I'd have to wait quite a while if I wanted to put make up on after. I also sniffed the pot of Shiseido from last years HBAC and it might not be as strong smelling as other Shiseido creams, think I'll try and use that soonish and hope for the best.

LightandBreezy · 06/07/2026 15:22

I've just found half a bottle of the Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion and that's reminded me how great it is - I think it's perfect for summer days, and better than the Dewy Milk in terms of being light-but-hydrating. I need to make a list of my favourite products so I don't forget them, this is honestly such a cheap but amazing product.

I had such high hopes for that as it's so popular. I finally got some last year and had an awful reaction to it.

What was the reaction @OvaHere ? I'm pretty lucky generally and have only ever reacted to spf stuff but that was awful - perioral dermatitis that took forever to shift.

Agree !! I think it’s why I like Elemis, spa like but not overpowering.

I have the notification from DPD saying 'expecting your order' - does that mean it has passed the point of no return?

I need to know when they will deliver it to know how to position my last minute working from home request - I can theoretically work from home without having permission but people are asking me if I'll be in.

Extreme flushing and burning sensation. The odd products have that effect on me, not that often but it does happen sometimes.

I'm thinking it'll arrive tomorrow, but maybe plan your 'crisis' to potentially last 2 days if need be 🤣

OvaHere · 06/07/2026 17:19

I've still not had a dispatch notification. Maybe they got more back in stock than we thought and they've got 100s to process. I'm not feeling massively optimistic now going on past debacles of this sort.

Someone has the Harrods tote + contents (the free gift one, not the perfume tote) on Vinted for £60 at the minute, if anyone is looking.

I tried my free Memo paris Cap Camarat perfume from the H beauty event this morning - omg I'm in love!! It's delicious. I've already bought another mini on Vinted, and have been looking at the available offers on a full size bottle. Resisted so far - i really need to use up some of the perfumes I already own 😂

LightandBreezy · 06/07/2026 17:39

For all those waiting for scent totes, I've just had a 'Your order is on it's way' email for Harrods, saying it's been packed and is with the courier.
