They were both from Cosmopolitan and one was about Primark and the other M and S, so googling would find them. I suggested that Lonely12 might be able to test perfumes similar to her edit with the aid of such articles (or ChatGPT of course!)

@Lonely12 I always go to my town centre and go in Space NK, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges to sample the fragrances that I’m not sure of. I spray them on card, and take a pen with me to write which one it is, so that I can also have a sniff later to see if I like it once it’s settled down. Yes, I take it very seriously indeed 😅

I have also used Fragrantica to blind buy online and have mostly been successful with doing it that way.

Anyone had a dispatch notice from Harrods re. The scent tote yet? I can't work out if I'm going to be delighted if it ships or almost relieved if it doesn't (I do very much want it, I'm just failing at low beauty spending a bit atm)

No. If it doesn't dispatch tomorrow then I'll start to have doubts. I'm in the same boat. I want it but shouldn't have bought it. Late night impulses are my weak point. I'm much more rational during the day which is why I didn't buy it on the first drop.

Got the Elle mag with pinkgasm - surprisingly it was in a mini morrisons. Last one. WH smiths had nothing.

I'll be extremely annoyed with them, I'm no expert on stock control but it can't be hard in this digital age to match the stock to the number of sales. 1 or 2 they can't fulfil I would forgive but not if they do it to a lot of us. Think some of us are battle-scarred from the fraggy cal debacle last year.

I'm thinking it is a sunday and I know some retailers don't despatch website orders on Sundays (space nk I think) so let's hope their warehouse staff are having a lovely well earned weekend break and will come in to work bright and early tomorrow morning to start getting our orders out.

@OvaHere it also doesn't help that we knew time was of the essence with the scent tote as it had initially sold out so quickly. Nowadays I'm putting things in baskets, leaving it and returning to them (or not) the next day or later once I've digested the contents and am I'm still sure I want it, but that absolutely wasn't the case here!

There's no sniff of a Space NK sale and nothing on beauty detective. I do like the christmas/january sales they do but they are decidely bringing up the rear now as most retailers have started their summer sales some time ago.

@OvaHere no dispatch here but neither have the crackers that I ordered the day afterwards so I’m hoping they are slow because of the weekend.

Have decided if Harrods flake out on me, I will get the Maison Francis Kurkdjian fragrance wardrobe as a consolation prize. It actually costs more but it's been on my lust list for a while. That or the ex nihilo quintessence extraits set, but that one's a bit more pricey.

That is nice. Also could be tempted but I too have way too much hair stuff atm.

Tried a few spins of Cult Beauty but nothing arrived in my inbox - then, as PP mentioned, have been bombarded by CB marketing emails. If CB sent less marketing, might stay subscribed but they always over do it.

Thanks. Looks like they are doing bestie boxes and lucky dips again. I missed out last time so tempted. I have two teenage DDs so could offload any blemish/ teen appropriate products to them. Better that than having them raid my ‘premium’ stash.

Mine has also. Will see in the next few days I guess. I didn't think I was going to get the reduced Elemis AC after xmas but it did show up.

If it's not meant to be then I'll get over it. The FAC is coming soon.
