What did you wear to your registry office wedding?

I’m at a loss as to what to wear! I want it to be special and memorable, but at the same time I don’t want anything remotely bridal. I’ve got a gorgeous white blazer that I could wear, that’s as wedding-y as I could go - but then what would I wear this with?

It’s a very casual affair. PILs will be witnesses. There will be photos but not professional.

Would a bouquet (a simple one) be overkill? I quite like the idea of a fascinator, too, but same concern!

Special jewellery for the occasion or not?

I had a dress made. Plain, in very pale pink silk with covered buttons up the back. Wore it with some fabulous shoes. I like the idea of the Vivienne Westwood one. Try on lots of things and wear what makes you feel fabulous!

I wore a glamorous gown I brought on sale. It was gold lace (sounds gross, but it was lovely) —so not bridal. I’d buy whatever you feel most fabulous in. Think red carpet instead of church vibes.

I like the Nadine Merani one too. Agree that some white/cream makes it a little more bridal. Plus, white/off-white dresses are very much "in" right now so they're absolutely everywhere & will give so much more choice. However, I'm not sure if the OP doesn't want white BECAUSE it's too bridal - or because she doesn't like/suit it?

You're ok with the idea of a white blazer and you mentioned liking the idea of shorts. How about something like this (from Reiss and comes in petite)? You could add a silk cami in any colour if you don't want to be too white.

Exactly. It dominates in day-to-day use, so has become common parlance. Unlike the poster's spelling of registrys and guyz ...
