I’ve always had chunky thighs and calves, and I’m about half a stone over my ideal weight.
i have very blotchy legs so will add fake tan!

what you’re referring to (knees wise) , is not too obvious on your legs , it’s more on mine but a specific exercise I do has improved a bit

the shorts are not great though , does you no favours ; a more skirt style more flary would help, will try to find one

I think you need treatment for body dysmorphia.

You have slimmer legs than me and I wear shorts. I find a bit of Nivea gradual tan works wonders.

I’m really trying to not make this about me, and I know even thin women have insecurities about their bodies, BUT I do wish that slim women would stop posting stuff like this. All it makes me think, is that slim women are judging my actual fat legs in shorts and thinking I shouldn’t be wearing them.

I know that. But if you post online that you think your legs are too fat for those shorts when they clearly aren’t, I know what your opinion is on mine without you saying.
as I said, I know this isn’t about me etc etc but seriously. I opened the thread to be positive to someone who I assumed was a lot larger than you, and encourage them to wear what they feel comfortable in, but what I found was a very slim legged woman. It’s disheartening and I know that’s not how you meant it, but it really is. I know several size 10 women who are happy to moan to their much larger friends about how fat they are and it’s just awful. I know this not what you did or intended and I wrestled with posting this but I have. Sorry for derailing.

I was called thunderthighs at school constantly. It was like "Here comes Thunder...Thunder...Thundercatsthighs!" all the time. Of course it was terribly fashionable to have supermodel skinny legs then and you hardly ever saw a women with muscles.

I only came to terms with my legs in my 20s through playing football and going to the gym and perhaps football shorts and socks were quite flattering but I started to get compliments. They did tone up but the shape hasn't changed, I'd have to be quite ill to have skinny legs.

Quite like my solid legs now, nothing wrong with a thunderous thigh or two.

adding onto the other comments - you look good and comfortable in the shorts. Most legs aren’t straight up and down; yours are perfectly shapely. Yes, you are overthinking it. Life’s too short. Enjoy being comfortable in your shorts

Not sure about the actual shorts but your legs are fine!

When I was thin enough to wear shorts, I wore a thin pair of tights underneath. You couldn't really tell they were tights, but they made my legs look incredible!

Of course your thighs go out above your knee you narna! Where would you keep your quads otherwise? In a back pack?

Bermuda shorts work if you want a slightly longer pair. I cannot do anything other than flat front too. As for wearing tights!!! Hot pants and tights are dead now. Winter look - not so much but the tights need to be slightly interesting - not American Tan!!!
