Welcome to style mavens old and new to continue our chats.
Hopefully more bling if there's another banquet on the horizon?

I had a look for some of Anne’s outfits from previous royal weddings - I’m not convinced that any of these should become rewears for Peter and Harriet.

Lovely news though.

I remember reading some comments on the guest's outfits at William and Catherine's wedding; I think that's when Anne wore the top left outfit? The comment was that Princess Anne frequently looks great, but appeared to have had an unfortunate encounter with bathroom curtains falling on her just before leaving the house! (Probably a bit of a loose recollection of the comment there!)

FallenNight · 02/04/2026 10:27

Anne seems to do practical and work wear better than wedding. The bottom left green is ok.

Maxima's been doing a nice line in daywear lately. This burgundy monochrome look is great on her. Wonder what's she's telling the guy in the first pic? "Now don't let me leave without my Pringle again!"?

Max looking good - glad she found her trusty Pringle 😆

Maireas · 03/04/2026 09:02

We haven't seen Max recently, I'm glad she's looking good and got one of her trusty Pringle hats on? Nice outfit.

That’s a lovely outfit on Max. And three cheers for the return of the Pringle!

gluenotsoup · 03/04/2026 11:28

Just popping in to say I love Max’s burgundy ish dress, very stylish . I also like the dark blue dress M has on, fabulous earrings. I wish she would grow her hair a bit and wear it a little softer and more modern. Some of the older-lady-hair comments upthread are relevant to her there, and age her a little I think, she’s only early fifties

Sidebeforeself · 05/04/2026 12:13

Pics out re today’s Easter Service. Kate looks good but her hat is a bit odd… looks like a dove has flown into the side of her head!

Louis has really grown.. he’s going to be a handsome young man

chesterelly1 · 05/04/2026 12:23

Just had a look at the pics while I take 5 mins break from Sunday lunch prep. I’m sure that’s a re-wear for Catherine, I remember us debating the “pineapples”. I quite like her hat it’s like a fall of oak leaves, maybe more autumnal than springlike. I was thinking overall a very subdued light Spring palette then, Bang! Camilla in the brightest of red. I too am in red but it is snowing here, don’t think I’ll be in anything Springlike for the foreseeable.

EagerWriter · 05/04/2026 12:55

It looks as though Princess Charlotte is in the same coat as Christmas Day but this time either bare legged or could this be the first time we have seen her in 'adult' tights? Louis seems to have shot up in height in the last few months.

I like Kate's outfit, I don't know if it's a suit or dress, but it's a nice cut and colour and not too fussy. I'm not keen on the hat.
The Phillips girls look so tall, but then I always imagine children stuck in the past a bit! 😊

I like that James has the obligatory teenage/ young man's hair style...

Harriet Sperling looks nice, she was joined by her daughter Georgina who was walking with the Phillips girls.

I wonder why Sophie Edinburgh was absent. She is normally a stalwart of these occasions.

CreepyCoupe · 05/04/2026 13:16

They all look very smart. I glad Louis is deemed old enough now for long trousers. Camilla looks amazing. And Harriet is so chic. I’m going to enjoy watching her style over the summer.

I think that Louis might be a bit taller than George was at the same age. Aged 6 and a half George wore tartan trousers in photo of him stirring Christmas pudding mixture. Age 5 and three quarters Louis wore suspiciously similar trousers on Christmas Day 2024.

Im wearing a fleece the same colour as Princess Anne's coat!
Was Sophie missing from the recent state banquet?

ExcellentDaydream · 05/04/2026 13:43

I think the pocket flaps spoil the line of Catherine's jacket a little and not sure about the hat, although she carries it off well, overall a very elegant look.

From what I saw of Anne on a BBC video she looked great in turquoise but I haven't seen a good still picture.

I am pretty sure that Sophie was missing from the recent banquet because she was overseas carrying out her work with womens charities (which gets pitiful coverage by the press and media).

StartupRepair · 05/04/2026 13:54

Impressed how Harriet is so good at the clothes. And how does she afford them on a nurse's salary?

eggandonion · 05/04/2026 13:56

@EagerWriter Sophie does a lot of under reported travel indeed. I hope she's just busy elsewhere today.

Vinted? Or got tips from her mother in law to be, who is the ultimate thrifty rewear and style role model. Maybe she has other relations who pass things on to her.

eggandonion · 05/04/2026 14:02

Maybe there's a wardrobe of castoffs for minor characters who need a smart coat. If so I'd like access to it!
