Welcome to style mavens old and new to continue our chats.
Hopefully more bling if there's another banquet on the horizon?

I don't imagine Harriet has to live on her nurses salary, I work in the NHS and don't bump into the likes of Peter Phillips in my day to day life.
Nice to see her daughter and Peter's together.
I like Kate's suit, Anne's blue looks nice from a distance. Camilla is a bit wintery imo.
George and Louis are bith getting tall.

Maireas · 05/04/2026 14:24

I quite like that the younger women aren't wearing hats, it looks a bit more relaxed.

Thank you for the link @Maireas- they all look very happy, I’d like to think that they’re heading back for a big Easter lunch at the castle.

I like Kate’s outfit although not sure about the embroidery pineapples. I remember her wearing it the last time when she did an engagement with Princess Anne who looks great in turquoise/teal. Camilla looks good in red with another lovely brooch.

I really like what Harriet’s daughter is wearing, it put me in mind of the Spanish princesses at a similar age. Harriet’s going to able a welcome addition to this thread!

Happy Easter to you all!

I'm in a minority here and not keen on Catherine's outfit for an Easter church walk - the pale monochrome look works really well when she wants/needs to stand out from the crowd but I don't think this was that occasion. I'd have liked her in something a little more informal perhaps. She certainly looks as though she's leading the troops though...

Perhaps Catherine feels she can't go informal for Easter Sunday when they expect the boys to wear suits and ties and Charlotte a dress.

Yes, possibly. The other ladies are all in single colours so perhaps it's the v pale yellow that feels a bit off to me?

Pallisers · 05/04/2026 14:59

Catherine's outfit is fine. I'd love to see her wear lower heeled shoes for a formal/public occasion though. I like the colour of Charlotte's dress through the coat. Love Camilla's outfit and love Sarah Chatto's outfit - I nearly always love what she wears.

Maireas · 05/04/2026 15:04

Sarah Chatto has found her style and sticks to it. She always looks good.

DM are reporting that Sophie is unwell and Lady Louise studying for exams

MrsLeonFarrell · 05/04/2026 15:10

I like Catherine's outfit and am pretending the pineapples are Easter eggs.

eggandonion · 05/04/2026 15:34

I knew about Lady Louise. Good Luck to her...exams are tough!

corblimeyguvnr · 05/04/2026 16:17

Red to me is Christmas and winter and paired with black tights - a bit of a fail for Camilla I think .

ShamedBySiri · 05/04/2026 16:24

I live not a million miles away from the Phillips planned wedding destination. In fact if someone would let me know the time I might even drop by for a look!
Anyway the amazing vintage shop in the local town has fab couture stuff to rent. I wouldn’t be surprised if Harriet was an occasion customer. If she doesn’t already know about it she should be alerted.
I mean I’m the very opposite of a fashionista but when I look at the fabulous materials and designs I actually begin to understand the attraction as oppose to just thinking “what a ridiculous waste of money”.

There is a less smart shop that sells a variety of stuff, I can’t think of the correct descriptive word to cover it, not junk, but a mix of clothes and nick knacks. Anyway DD bought some vintage MaxMara sunglasses there. Extremely cool and a great price at £40. Due to my need for some prescription multi focals I spent an eye watering amount on sunglasses last year.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 05/04/2026 16:45

I'm a bit over that particular Self-Portrait ensemble as we've seen it so many times before. Quite like Kate's hat though.

Yes - I thought red was an unusual choice for Easter - too Christmassy

Easter is usually the time for pastels or vibrant yellows/purples - Camilla would have looked great in powder blue or lilac

They could be Easter Eggs as they are round - I wonder if they are meant to convey new growth of spring as they look like flowers bursting out from seeds

Is her hat representing new leaves?

I think they may be oak leaves on the hat, which she took as her personal symbol on marriage. Remember the wedding earrings her parents had made, which were acorns?

I'd have liked Catherine's outfit to be more lemony, unless it's bad photography. Anne's coat I do like especially the collar.

FraiseRoyale · 05/04/2026 19:38

I like Camilla's red, which unless the photography is off, seems a bright red suitable for spring. Agree 100 percent though that the dark tights and shoes don't seem right.

I liked seeing the Phillips girls and their soon-to-be stepsister. I think Isla looks a lot like her Aunt Zara.

CurlewKate · 05/04/2026 19:52

Charlotte didn’t like the way her coat flapped, poor thing- she was trying to hold it down. Itlooked a little small for her…

eggandonion · 05/04/2026 19:59

I thought Isla looked like Zara too. And Sarah is turning into Princess Margaret!

Catherine’s pineapples put me in mind of Catherine of Aragon’s pomegranate.

deeahgwitch · 06/04/2026 08:14

Isla Phillips looks very like her Aunt Zara.
