So happy with my new jeans!!

I’ve just got a pair of Next Wide rinse blue High wide rise stretch jeans. (Sorry I can’t do a link, the teen is out).

I’m 5’5” and a stone overweight and they are incredibly slimming.
I’ve tried them on with a kitten heel ankle boot which look fab peeking out the bottom of the leg.
I think they would be too long on me to wear with trainers but that’s fine as I think I’ll dress them up rather than go for a trainers/casual look.

There was a thread on here last week regarding the best wide leg jeans and do they suit everyone?
The ones I’ve bought are more flares I guess as they’re fitted at the top. Where a completely wide leg/barrel leg that adds bulk for me, these seem to do the opposite.

Been feeling a bit low/menopausal recently about my weight gain so they’ve really perked me up!
Thoroughly recommend.

Yes I think the lengthening of the leg is why I love them. That and the fact that they are super comfy.
Wore them out for the first time today and got 2 lovely compliments! Been feeling very frumpy lately so that made my day.

I tried those on in store. 5’8.5, 9.5 stone. They looked bloody awful on me. ☹️

I have just got these ones and I really like them. I’m normally a 16R in Next jeans but got a 14S in these

Dunno how everyone else is sizing down. I had to size up. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️🙈. Nice lady in the changing room reckoned the petites run smaller size wise than the regular

I’ve ordered some too so fingers crossed they look ok, I am desperate for a new pair of good jeans. I’m 5ft 4” and 9st 3 so have ordered both petite and regular, will see how I get on. Thanks op.

I'm 5ft with short legs and usually wear size 10 petite. I've just tried them on and they fit but a bit big on the waist so I'm going to swap for an 8. Very wide flare, reminds me of the jeans I wore when I was 16! Look good with wedge trainers though

Love the look of the darker ones, does anyone have pets - do they attract floof?

I’m such a lemming that I went out and tried some on (good jeans are holy grail after all). Bloody bought them as well but they’re identical to plenty of H&M pairs on sale atm and similar to a Free People pair I’ve already got, and some of my Zara ones.

I defo don't need jeans. But... in those pics they look like flares rather than wide legged... which do they look like on?
