So happy with my new jeans!!

I’ve just got a pair of Next Wide rinse blue High wide rise stretch jeans. (Sorry I can’t do a link, the teen is out).

I’m 5’5” and a stone overweight and they are incredibly slimming.
I’ve tried them on with a kitten heel ankle boot which look fab peeking out the bottom of the leg.
I think they would be too long on me to wear with trainers but that’s fine as I think I’ll dress them up rather than go for a trainers/casual look.

There was a thread on here last week regarding the best wide leg jeans and do they suit everyone?
The ones I’ve bought are more flares I guess as they’re fitted at the top. Where a completely wide leg/barrel leg that adds bulk for me, these seem to do the opposite.

Been feeling a bit low/menopausal recently about my weight gain so they’ve really perked me up!
Thoroughly recommend.

I got the £52 river island ones from next and honestly they’re worth every penny! However I normally wear the wide leg £29 next ones which I also love! Once you find a good jean you have to cling on to it haha 😂

Thanks for this, I need new jeans and I usually get mine from C&A when I go on holiday as they have less of a gap, so I'll have to check out Next. I can see they also sell hourglass Levi's, which I'm now also debating.

I love the "hourglass" ones. They fit my bum and arent tight on my thighs.

Also got these ones and also love them! The difference between these ones and every other pair of wide leg jeans I tried on is huge - the others were pretty much all terrible and these are great. I had the lighter pair in the summer but love the dark blue more.

@RipplePlease which did you get? The hourglass ones? I took have menobelly and after a lifetime of low rise jeans, think I need to go high rise to hide the tummy now! Those look lovely ,thanks for sharing 😊

I love the look of wide leg when I see them on others, but they just make me feel massive when I try them on! I get bootcut instead, and they seem to balance me out better.

I get these from Next. They’re jeggings, but they feel like soft, stretchy jeans. So comfy.

I think maybe yes. But I did order many many sizes and options first, no short cut to good jeans I think 😭

I'm 5ft 8 and bought Regular as the Tall were ridiculous! You couldn't see any of my shoe and not in a trendy Victoria Beckham way 😳

On the petite, the lighter blue looks a different shade completely but has the same name? Guess I'll just have to order and find out!

Might have to look at these. I ordered about 10 pairs of jeans from M&S and they're all going back. Ordered carrot and ankle grazer straight and they all looked awful. Just a bit too short. I'm 5'3 size 12 bottom, 10 top. Much bigger thighs so struggle for jeans that don't make me look bigger. I've also got really slim ankles so a baggy oversized ankle grazer just highlights the contrast.
Jeans are so hard to buy!

I’ve got these and quite like them. I found that they come up big though. I’m a size 10/12 and bought an 8, which I’m most definitely not! Glad you’ve found a pair you like OP!

I've just bought these, and am very pleased with them. Size 16 short. They fit really well over my apple stomach, but are not baggy on bum.

I got the regular which are perfect with a heel. Haven’t tried them with a flat shoe yet, got a feeling they would be touching the ground.
Im happy to just pair them with heels.

That's exactly how I feel about wide leg jeans, they make me look really big but I think because these have more of a flare and are fitted on the thigh, there’s more shape.
