New thread because we can't stop chit-chatting and failing our low buy resolutions.

Everyone welcome to join in, new and old alike. This thread is a bad influence zone though so be warned all who enter! 😂

Thanks @OvaHere

keepincool · 06/02/2026 16:51

Thanks @OvaHere - I'm now wondering if I need a Patrick Ta blusher? Are they really good? I'm fair skinned / dark hair / hazel eyes. I keep meaning to apply tan (and I have loads in my stash - plus the new Gatineau one from the FtF date night / glow up mystery box)

Edited to clarify - I'm not sure what shade blush I should go for?

SheilaFentiman · 06/02/2026 16:51

Bought a mini Elemis cleansing balm in duty free today, only £11 and have been wanting to try it so why not? 😀

Sminty2 · 06/02/2026 16:53

Thanks for the new thread.

CorneliaStreet · 06/02/2026 16:54

Thanks for the new thread @OvaHere

I’ve joined the waitlist for the Cult Beauty Korean edit. I bought no skincare in January so I feel getting this is justified 😆

Evri Man has just brought me two new Lush shower gels (absolutely no justification for this at all).

ITookYourJoob · 06/02/2026 16:57

thanks @OvaHere .

Got a random £5 voucher from Debenhams, maybe worthwhile checking your spam mail.

I really like the Elemis Cleansing Balm.

Am desperate not to spend any more money on skincare until April. Have only bought essentials (ie moisturiser with SPF which I had run out of) this year and some Avenno as my skin barrier was damaged. But every time I see an offer with freebies I can't help myself....

As I said on the last thread, I'm very pale and found the previous shades a bit hard work due to strong pigmentation. Still usable if I go careful but they are strong.

He's brought out two new shades, I can't speak to the purple shade but Soft Launch is definitely more muted - not just me that's noticed, a few influencers have done videos and compared to previous shades. I'm happy about this as the formula is really nice.

In answer to your question though, no you probably don't need it. I have no room to talk though, I could probably apply for an arts grant to open a blush museum. 😄

😂You're right - I don't need it. I have my Hourglass Deer palette blushers, and they will do me just fine.

🤣 Love the description @OvaHere, thank you for the new thread so we can all continue enabling each other 💕

Hi, Boots have £10 off with minimum spend £20 on no7 products with code: NO7SAVE10

OvaHere · 06/02/2026 18:24

I know a few people have issues with Debenhams CS and returns but if you're willing to risk it they have a Valentines edit for £30

Code BEAUTY5 takes it down to £28.50 but using PayPal it doesn't stack with FREEDEL - even though it looks like it does until you get to the payment screen. So it's cheaper to use the FREEDEL code than save £1.50 with the BEAUTY5 code.

I don't know if the codes stack using a different payment menthod but given their somewhat ropey CS reputation using PayPal at least may offer some protection.

I've caved and bought that valentines set 😍💕 It has 2 perfumes in that I've been eyeing up. I received a sample of the armani and I'm not too fussed about it so I'll probably sell that one.

Hi, I’m wobbling on my no-buy Feb.

I am tempted by the no7 offer on the Stackers box of stuff, even though I can’t stand the no7 Future Renew day cream I already have. I do like the eye serum and I quite fancy the stackers box as a way of tidying up the stash on top of my cupboard. I would use some of the other items.

The irony of buying more stuff to help tidy up existing stuff is not lost on me, btw.

Any thoughts?

Me too! I went via the Klarna app for another 2% cashback. The discount codes also work with Klarna, so £28.50 with next day delivery and 57p cashback.

Addictedtobeauty · 06/02/2026 18:55

Tempted by the Valentine edit as love the Born in Roma scent. If you spend over £50 (two edits 😁) you can get £5 off and free next day delivery using code SAVE.

Any advice please ladies. Trinny London have a birthday sale on- 20% off £100+. I’m itching to try the elevator neck cream. Is it all hype or actually really good? And is there anything else amazing worth trying (like the take back time or bounce serum/moisuriser). Thanks in advance.

I got it for the perfumes. I tried the Libre Berry Crush at the weekend. I wasn't blown away with it sprayed on a card but I like Libre so happy to be able to test further. I also nearly bought Born in Roma at Xmas so happy with that too. Never tried the Armani one. Rest of the stuff will probably go on Vinted.

The No7 body serum is my favourite body lotion. It leaves my skin really soft and has a lovely delicate sheen. I stock up on £10 Tuesdays
