See here!

Looks a bit clearer than last year as they have provided lists of models per category.

Largest category has gone up to £34.95 from £30 though.

@MadisonAvenue The taupe is more of a grey / green khaki colour than a beige, so you might be pleasantly surprised.

That sounds even worse 😂

My normal non-Roka rucksack broke mid way through the Lucky Dip so took it as a sign to try one for the first time. Ordered a jackpot, got a large Finchley in Frost.

Very, very happy. They're beautifully made!

SheilaFentiman · 05/02/2026 07:25

Thank you @IlovePond - yes, it was your post :-)

I’m happy to try all three of my new items (when they get here 😀) and this is a fun thread to see what people get!

You were very lucky, as it seems there were not that many large Finchleys going out this time.

I have one from a previous dip, and they really are great bags.

So do I, in Forest. It's my favourite out of my 12 or so bags! It does days out, gym bag for DH, easyJet hand luggage...

I’ve dipped and dipped again in the hope of a Finchley and ended up with more than my fair share of Canfields which aren’t my favourite.

I should have enough in store credit with recent returns to buy the size and colour I want at full price but even though I do like Roka bags I think they are overpriced and will only buy in a sale. So hopefully when Easter rolls around there’ll be a suitable Finchley.

Citron Bantry will arrive tomorrow. I can’t see it being a popular swap or sale so that’ll add to my store credit when I send it back

MaybeItsTimeForMeNow · 05/02/2026 13:35

My final dip has got me a med canfield in blue hickory a bantry in citron and a Stratford kiwi, assuming they all stick as not despatched yet.

Can anyone explain the differences between all these backpacks?

I've got a small bantry, and I've got a larger bag which I think is a bayswater (it's the one with the integral pocket for a wet umbrella). The bantry has no side pockets and has a zip top whereas the other has a roll top. Otherwise the structure of the two bags is very similar.

I look at all these Finchleys and Canfields and they all look pretty much the same to me! Maybe if I had a selection here in front of me, I'd see a difference but the website is just jigging around in front of my eyes! Once you account for roll top or not, is it basically the layout of external pockets?

niknakw12 · 05/02/2026 14:01

@Mauvish1
Yes the Canfield and Finchley are very similar. The canfield has an additional internal pocket and smaller external one.
The Finchley is more streamlined looking. That's the only difference I could see, plus the material is different, one canvas, one nylon.

AllIdoistidyup · 05/02/2026 16:15

The main difference is that the Canfield to me looks like a traditional backpack with a half-size front pocket (also seen on things like Eastpak Padded Pakr). The Finchley is a bit more Scandi-minimal like Kapten and Son and is canvas (which I prefer but is less water-resistant).

My order has arrived.

The Stratford is quite nice, but I already have two ROKA Chelseas so am undecided. The zip wraps around the side, so might be a bit fiddly. My friend is eyeing it up and waving her Carnaby wallet at me for a possible exchange 🤣

The Canfield B medium is a perfectly good bag but I already have a Canfield m in Black/Seaport that I use all the time. This one is giving off army surplus vibes. I may send it back.

The Bantry small in Citron is quite cute but is almost identical to the canvas Custard version I got in last year’s dip and have yet to find a use for. My friend is making noises about buying this one from me, (as I am NOT swapping it for her bumbag 🤣)

If swaps, etc. go ahead, it will make me feel better about doing the LD in the first place as I might have known I would end up with almost the same stuff as last year!

Do they not do canvas canfields anymore? I have 2 canvas Canfield Bs, I hope they last a long time if I might not be able to get another.

Not really: they have 2 at the moment but both are prints rather than block colours.

I got a Willesden sling as my medium lucky dip. I quite like it but it's too big for what I wanted it for. Would anyone like to swap it for a smaller bag? Slings, bumbags, cross body or underarm bags all welcome and any colours apart from black!

I have a moorsgate in kiwi left I'd love to swap to this?

I got the same Willesden that I'd be interested in swapping if Floweryfrocky passes on it 😊

Snapespeare · 06/02/2026 12:42

Well all my last dip arrived - 4 Canfields and a pink Moorgate, they've all gone back, along with the others I didn't like.

Four dips, 15 bags, 7 of which were Canfields. Kept a Heathrow, a Gatwick, a Finchley and an Oval. Have opted for a blend of store credit refund and refund to card refund.

Customer services were incredibly helpful.

manpan1 · 06/02/2026 14:29

@Snapespeare That sounds like a good haul. I recall in previous years (2024 and earlier from what I can recall) Roka didn't do returns so the risk was far higher. I think I did 6 dips this year. 16 jackpots.... 8 were canfields. But I managed to keep 4 gatwicks, an umbrella and a camden P. I sold everything else and only returned 1 lonely canfield (the military tonal one that no-one wanted) so Roka should be pleased that I found a home for them all and they got to keep the cash. Overall I think the mix of bags has been far better this year. If you were prepared to take the risk and order lots of jackpots, you were pretty much guaranteed some travel luggage which is great quality.

niknakw12 · 06/02/2026 17:21

My final dip arrived, medium carbon Finchley and retro blue Canfield. I actually really like the colours but the canfield will go back or be sold as I managed to buy a large Finchley in the same colour and I wanted a bigger bag.

I already have a medium Finchley from last year's dip but the carbon is nice so may end up keeping it too. Also bought a medium Gatwick on Amazon in navy which must have been a return as it was a good price although not dip level price.

I've been able to sell the other ones on vinted too so saved on return costs.

leeloo1 · 06/02/2026 20:45

Would anyone like to swap?

I have a large Finchley frost which I’d like to swap - ideally for the same bag (or large Canfield b) in airforce blue. Other blues or purples would be doable though. ☺️

I also have two medium Canfields in punch and retro blue. Looking to swap for a small or medium rucksack in petrol blue, or similar. 🤞

Final order arrived today. Small Gatwick in Ash up for swap. Looking for a Heathrow although I appreciate this is a popular bag and there might not be many out there! Have included a photo to compare the size with the medium Gatwick (which we are keeping). The Ash one is the bottom one

Did you find a swap for this? I don’t have a Heathrow but I do have a small in other colours (flax and airforce) if you wanted to just do a like-for-like swap.
