I have read the sad news that Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway needs a lung transplant. I know she has been discussed on this thread before due to her chic style.

Doing my bit to finish the old thread… Apologies if this has already been shown, as I have been busy, but there are a couple of glam Christmas looks and no coats in sight! It looks as if the Queen asserted her droit de seigneur and baggsied the gold sequins and her daughters graciously chose elegant outfits that wouldn't steal her starlight!

I'd be interested to know what others think of Princess Elisabeth’s dress. I think the big sleeves actually work really well for once, in combination with the high waist, which is beautifully emphasised by the starry embellishment. Probably needs a slender build for the exaggerated silhouette to work, but on Elisabeth it's giving me beauty and power.

Queen Matilde also wore a very glamorous trouser suit to a recent engagement. Wouldn't mind this in my wardrobe...

Grand Duchess Stephanie may not be naturally glamorous, but from the photos I have seen she seems to be very good at connecting with people. Here she is doing her bit for winter knitwear. Love the cable detail and the cream colour, even if I'm not a poncho woman myself

I really like Stephanie, she's very relatable. I like the Arran knit.

Apparently a love of winter coats is the hallmark of a true fashionista…I fail abysmally on that, but in the interests of thread-filling I give you:
Anne in purple
Anne in cerulean blue (with winter trilby)
Maxima attending a film premiere 'in' a slightly shaggy-looking check coat (losing points for not putting her arms through the sleeves - that's what capes are for)
Sophie in what seems to be elephant corduroy. I think this looks like a dressing gown gone wrong. It doesn't help that wearing a dress that looks like a very old-fashioned nightie with the pie crust frill round the buttons. Yuck. Dreadful thing to do to a rather nice small print fabric in a lovely warm dark red.
