Charlotte looks a lot like her aunt Stephanie.

Oh I’ve worked out the lady in green! It’s an old photo from 94 when Silvia wore the dress CPV is wearing, so that’s Princess Lilian who was still alive then.

That makes sense. I looked at it and thought it all seemed a bit old-fashioned somehow!

Serenster · 11/12/2025 18:50

It’s a busy day today. Apart from the second Nobel banquet tonight, there is a Finnish State Visit to the Netherlands, so should be a state banquet too. Max and Suzanne Innes-Stubb, the First Lady of Finland both looked very elegant at the welcome ceremony.

It was also’ Camilla’s annual Christmas party for children with life-limiting illnesses. I love that Santa arrived in Queen Victoria’s State Sleigh.

Max and Suzanne look very nice, I like both outfits, that's a lovely blue on Max.
Sweet picture of Camilla and the children. Imagine having a state sleigh!

I can’t imagine it got much use, even by Victoria!

Here are the Dutch ladies looking very glamorous at their state banquet - Max with loads of stunning pearls, and Amalia in the diamond gobstopper bandeau tiara.

And the Swedish ladies. I love Madeleine in the cut-steel tiara - its high peaked shape really suits her face. Stunning amethysts for Silvia and an amazing opal (I assume) brooch for Victoria.

I see Maxima decided not to let the sash ruin her strapless neckline. Sensible woman.

Maireas · 11/12/2025 20:15

Love Madeleine's and Maxima's looks.

I just love Suzanne Innes-Stubb's outfit - gorgeous jacket.

SqueakyDinosaur · 12/12/2025 00:03

Madeleine is a proper old fashioned Beauty, IMO.

Eaumyword · 12/12/2025 08:18

Max's colouring looks beautiful in that shade of blue. Suzanne looks fabulous in a '50's Dior New Look style, love it.
That photo of Cams and the children in the sleigh is gorgeous. Love that she does that annual special party. How exciting for the children. Good for her.

And I love that Camilla is often photographed holding or touching people with a genuine smile on her face. She seems to particularly enjoy events with children.

Very much enjoying CPV's and Max's sash rebellions!

Given that Finland's a republic, is it odd that the Finnish first couple both had sashes? I'm trying to think if other republics have this for their leaders.

Yes, the French do.

When’s the next UK Royal dressing up opportunity? Church on Xmas day? I always find that a bit of a let down… no tiaras there!

Edited

I predict green wool coats and tartan all around.

I generally prefer Camilla's church outfits.

Yes, the French do.

Thanks. I can picture M and Mme Macron, now you say it.

Here’s Charlene looking lovely at the annual Monaco Christmas Ball.

Doesn't she just. It's the posh version of a cardigan over your shoulders I always think 😁

Eaumyword · 13/12/2025 15:13

Char is looking fabulous! Love that gown and colour on her and hair and makeup are perfection.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 13/12/2025 17:02

Stunning! I love a Grecian gown.

smilesy · 13/12/2025 17:45

Love Char’s dress. I think the cape sleeves look regal on both her and Catherine. Not sure what is going on with that cake next to Charlene though 😆

Maireas · 13/12/2025 17:53

Yes, I wondered about the cake!

Well, a quick Google reveals that Xerjoff is a luxury perfume house, and the cursive bit further down says Bal de Noel ?20eme? Anniversaire. So it's basically advertising!
