How many jumpers do you own?

Recent discovery of Vinted has given me so many jumper problems. I previously thought that four jumpers was a decent god-fearing number to own. Now I am up to six jumpers and counting. Two of them are cashmere. I asked AI and it said that 7-10 jumpers is a reasonable number of jumpers?!? Thrilled if this is so but think this is a situation where I need real human input. How many jumpers do you own?? Bonus points for telling me about your favourite jumpers.

Loads. And yet, somehow never enough…

I am very sensitive to temperature so have different jumpers for different temperatures. At least 4 in each level of warmth. Also have under jumpers which are thin cashmere/merino that I wear under other jumpers when I’m going to be outside in the cold for a long time, I wouldn’t wear those on their own though, they’re not very flattering.

I have a very garish jumper that was my dad’s. It’s hideous but my dad wore it my whole life until he died and it’s the one item of clothing I couldn’t part with because it just reminded me so much of him so it’s a house jumper for me!

I have a couple of hoodies that only come out when we’re camping but I should probably get rid of them. I don’t like hoodies really.

My friend always laughs at me because she wears shorts and t shirt in summer and then jeans and tshirt with a hoodie in the winter. Her wardrobe is tiny compared to mine! I have different warmth T-shirts, different warmth jeans, different warmth socks, different warmth jumpers, different warmth dresses…as well as various base layers and I often change part way through the day if I don’t feel right in temperature. (I also have an array of coats for the same reason)

30 at a guess. But i live in jumper dresses and knitwear from september to march

Probably 20. Majority are cashmere or merino. I do work in fashion though. I tend to buy 2-3 season and keep for a long time. I also knit them.

About a dozen. My favourite is a Celtic & Co fair isle but most are Weird Fish or similar acrylic.

The acrylics are easier to wash but need washing more frequently than wool as they get sweaty in the pits but the moths don't eat them which was the death of many a nice piece of cashmere in this house unfortunately.

The chunky fair isle knit needs washed incredibly rarely and also seems pretty moth resistant (although I've had to darn one hole)- pricey though.

Ten, not including cardigans, sweatshirts or hoodies. I love knitwear.

Without popping up to look, I think I have about 5 jumpers and 5 or 6 cardigans. All wool except for one cotton jumper. I know what you mean about vinted though, I have about to many dresses! Intrigued that AI has a view on this 😂

23 jumpers, 12 sweatshirts, 6 hoodies and about 6 cardigans here.

It’s nice to have choices! Some of them I have had for a very long time.

I count jumpers, cardies, sweatshirts, fleeces and hoodies as different sorts of items. I think we should also probably differentiate between a plain jumper, a dressy jumper or a Christmas jumper ! Assuming a jumper dress is an item of its own as well.

I have around 14 cashmere jumpers, I brought 3 only this year in January sales, then I have 7 or 8 marino wool, some polo neck some round neck, I do think it's too many but I do feel the cold, and on freezing days I will wear 2 jumpers at once, plus a long sleeved thermal.

Sweatshirts prob about 10-15 regular ones then about 4 Christmas ones
Jumpers about 35-45 regular and then 5 or more Christmas ones
Cardigans around 15-20 maybe more

Too many! Haven't counted them but I estimate about 25.

Oh are we including jumper dresses? That adds 6 I think. I’m going to have to count later but it’s definitely over 30

I’ve over 100 cashmere jumpers and an assortment of cotton and wool ones as well. I like nice clothes and being warm. 😌

Winter ones just counted 28 in my wardrobe, Inc about 4 thick cardigans and not including one or two in the wash basket. Love a jumper. Knitted, soft, thick, thinner, long, cropped, wool, cotton... Love them all. If we're counting sweatshirts and hoodies probably another 8. Definitely my guilty pleasure of autumn/winter 🩷

Including jumpers, cardigans and sweatshirts I have counted 27 total.

and I never feel I quite have enough options!!

I usually buy one new (or Vinted) “proper” jumper each autumn

i also have quite a big collection of jackets and coats.

I use the Whering app now to try and keep on top of what I have and keep organised!

6 that I love and wear frequently. 2 cashmere also. It’s a great number, I have others I don’t wear - not because I don’t like them but because I don’t need them or like them as much.

I refuse to count (100+++) sounds a fair guess.
Just to say that my shopping addiction is the local cashmere outlets, knitting isn’t so much a hobby as an affliction & it’s jolly cold most of the year.

Ive clicked 1-4 but i actually do not own a single one!
