Help me find a really nice dress for new fellas work do!

So I have a new boyfriend, and I meeting his colleagues at a christmas do on 12th December - so I have time. I want to look good of course, not show him up!

Im 51, BMI 23, curvy - I have massive boobs (34gg), slim waist with flat tum, but
very chunky arms and legs that I like covered. He loves me in dresses, so I think id like to wear a dress. A big issue is shoes, I never know what to wear. Flats with a midi dress make my calves look enormous - so i cheat and wear knee high boots. But not all dresses look good with them do they? Id wear a pair of black shiny knee high boots with a slight heel if I had to make the look work. Id rather that than a pair of high heels.

Anyway, any ideas? Im thinking something slinky, shiny, velvety???

Black pleather is terrible, red dress and burgundy dress both lovely 😍

Not helpful with a dress but I find black ankle boots with a small heel (western style?) go with most things. I’m bigger so wear with black tights.

I would LOVE to wear the shoe boot, or ankle boot look with dresses. But I have chunky ankles and calves and it would look shit. deeahgwitch careful what you wish for! lol

Wear a jumpsuit with wedge shoes. Wedges come in many different styles and they start with a fairly flat wedge and go upto ridiculous heights that l can only dream of wearing...They are very comfortable and you are less lightly to trip in them compared to heels. Whatever you decide, enjoy your evening you sound very excited and l hope all goes well...

If i found a jumpsuit, Id wear it with flats for sure. I can never find one to fit me. I think I have a weirdly long body. My legs are 34 inch, but I still seem to have a camel toe, even it LTS ones. So their 36 inch are too long in leg but Im still eating them.

I too am tall, same dress size, large chested and have a weirdly long body. LTS jumpsuits also give me camel toe! But have a look at Onjenu jumpsuits, I’ve got a couple from there and they fit great.

I like the dark green velvet dress, that would work the black boots. Hope you find something that works, and enjoy the event.

They are absolutely dreadful. Would anybody actually wear these and not expect eyes ro roll. Or is it just me.

Really? 150 is a lot though. It says the inseams are 31 inches - but they still work for you at 5ft 10? Loving the leopard print one. I do love leopard print.

I must admit I hate them. Maybe its an age thing, and fashion does go full circle, but they are so Crystal Carrington to me. Not depressing though - but I would look and feel utterly ridiculous. I do notice people like Kim K wearing this style though.

I wear knee high boots with various longer dresses in the winter as I think they are a really good look.
I found a lovely velvet dress at Yumi last winter, which I have worn a number of times - it's stretchy velvet, so quite forgiving! And quite reasonably priced. I've dressed it up a bit more with the jewellery/footwear I've worn but equally kept it simplier on other occasions!

beansontoast85 thanks but that wouldn't suit me at all. The baggy top would make me look 3 sizes bigger than I am.

I've got reasonable size boobs and have unfortunately put some weight on but it still seems ok!!
