the addictive (to my nose) babylon by penhaligon's is on my hand today. It's lovely but I somehow feel like it's not quite strong enough. Probably my nose blind nose. I would be tempted to buy a fb of this if it wasn't over £200. As it is, my sample from perfumista is hitting the spot .

Yes with hindsight I regret not just buying it and selling on what I didn't want rather than buying a few on Vinted. I need to remember this next year. If you only buy one or two on the resale market it's okay but I bought 4 from HN and by the time you add fees and shipping I would have been better doing it the other way around despite larger initial outlay.

In terms of scent of the day I started with little bit of Gucci Guilty Love edition - the most recent one. I like it during the summer, not at all right now so I won't be going near it for some time. Or maybe I am over it? It's cute, little bit like violet candy without being too sweet but fine in heat. At lunch I sprayed little bit of sea salt and wood sage - such a fab scent but why oh why it's so short lived, it is gone in a second.

And now, I may put something with bit more oomph for my very exciting .... walk with the dog. I may go for Kayali Burning Cherry

Babylon is the type of vanilla I can truly appreciate. I also only have a travel and I ration it's use

I’m looking to see if they do a curated selection - they did last year but I can’t remember if it was in rewards week - it was definitely later than the advent calendar - it was about 4 or 5 full sized niche perfumes

Spiky Muse, the 2 FdB and the M&G. I wasn't going to buy Lucius but changed my mind on the basis if it is too masculine for my tastes I'll save it as a stocking filler for DS.

Lucius is my favorite from this advent, its gorgeous perfume

Very good choices 😍 the sirene is my favourite 🩷 as well as delina but as I'm getting the PDM countdown for Christmas, I decided to sell that one. The m&g is a surprise like for me, I didn't think I'd like that one at all.

10 hours later the Commodity Orchid Milk smells amazing. I think I will get a bottle but wish they sold a smaller amount. I had a 30ml EDP last winter that I wore everyday, and it’s still pretty full.

I’m also reticent as one fragrantica review says it smells like Ariana Grande Thank U, Next, which is much cheaper. I don’t like feeling like a mug on these things. But then I went to that perfume’s fragrantica page and a reviewer says “I don't smell the pickle note that others have mentioned but whoever said it smells like a fried chicken sandwich on the dry down is 100% correct. @BakeOffRewatch I'm always amazed at the speed DS can work through a full fragrance until I watched him get ready to go out one time. He douses himself like a fire hydrant. This I believe is where we go wrong. No dainty sprays. 😂

It was Vyrao witchy woo so a dainty spray really was enough.

I smelled Vyrao Ludatrix (the red sexy one) and Ludeaux (the pink “inner wink”) on tester strips. I liked the Ludeaux, another peach schnapps type one but creamy and warm, rather than zingy.

i love Ouai St Barts, think I just like coconut tropical type smells.

I also tried Ex Nihilo Chandigarh Express on tester strip. I really like it. Tried another one too but forgot the name, it was a creamy Oud so maybe Oud Vendome. I am really liking a lot of things from Ex Nihilo. Spiky Muse will be a repurchase in summer. Fleur Narcotique is nice but I don’t like as much as Spiky Muse.

You would probably like Byredo Alto Astral. The smell is 'sat by a rockpool wearing coconutty sunscreen.' It's lovely.

The spiky muse smelt more musky rose on me, and even though I think it's meant to be more of a summer fragrance, I think it suits me better for autumn / winter. I might change my mind in summer though 🤣

SOTE is mumbai noise. still love this one but it feels a bit more 'gritty' from the oud, than it did last year. Don't think the perfume has changed, just my nose! I've had a lot of olfactory experience in the last year. Once it's dried down a bit the oud softens.

I tried the Fugazzi purple yesterday- it was ok for me, I prefers the violet note to others I’ve smelt, and a generous sample.

I’m using up Vine Thief today- it’s ok but I think I’d prefer it as a candle. I’m intrigued by some of the SNK& HN calendar curations so I’m stalking a few in vinted. Any of you guys selling feel free to ping me your vinted profile by PM

Did anyone keep their fragrance advent for December?

I think my nose has enough of my sniffing this week and I need to commit to one scent today. I tested du bois lucius again on skin before shower and I am still on and opinion. Love it but would rather smell it on my husband, its not me.

I can't decide what to go for today!
