I went to spacenk and got the fragrance cracker and glossier sample set, along with a lip stain. Snk is actually a lot more wallet friendly for me than liberty as there are barely any kits/ discovery-sets in liberty. Mainly fbs. Whereas SNK had the frag cracker, and other beauties that I managed to resist.

I'm really pleased with the fragrance cracker, I'm sure you'll be happy with it 😊 what is the Glossier sample set? I like how SNK do a mix of sets for different budgets 🥰

They didn't have BDK Vanilla Caviar - has anyone tried this? I wonder if his political views are impacting his popularity lately, fab perfumes but he got himself a bad publicity.

Xerjoff Coro - I was so looking forward to it but just like Erba Pura - the description does not reflect the reality of what it smells like. Intense dislike

Armani Prive - they had 20% off and I sniffed Rouge Malachite. It's fine, I don't get the hype.

Vanilla Caviar is on my radar to try next time I go to a store.

I think Vanilla Salt Ellis Brooklyn will work or me, gave it a little sniff in Space NK

The one I like and bought bottle of is Rituals Velvet Aura. It's in a family with Gris Charnel and Jo Malone Sandalwood and Spiced Apricot. Gris Charnel is the most unisex, at time slightly masculine. Sandalwood and Spiced Apricot is in the middle. This is different, in that dies more vanilic but it still have this cardamom & spiced tea vibe. I think for the price, it is worth a sniff. It's not the same as the other two, it does feel like lux cosmetic meets Indian cardamom milky tea (yum)

Now I need to stop buying vanilla & tea & cardamom perfumes, I am all set.

Just looking at the notes of the 3

2 have vanilla, one tonka bean
1 have iris, 1 have oiris
3 of them have Cardamom and Sandalwood

They are very different, BDK Gris Charnel followed by Jo Malone Sandalwood and Spiced Apricot but there is something calming in Velvet Aura. I have the bodycream too but didn't get the cardamom as well in it

on my skin it did turn to more simple vanilla in few hours, and it was gone before the 3 hour mark. On my clothes, it retained the original milky spicy tea vibe and I can still smell it. I feel this will be something I use similar to Laura Mercier vanilla amber - but for colder months as I find it very comforting.

I am going to do little sniffing of minis from advent calendars I acquired recently later this morning so no scent of the day for now. You doux is not one for me

Glossier reve from the Glossier sample kit I got yesterday and I tried thr floral one too.

Both nice, hadn't tried thos brand before as I associate it with dedcool/ phlur type overpriced and often weak scents, not truly niche but trying to be.

Pleasantly surprised by both not repeat purchase territory though. Have the you and doux still to try.

I really like the You Doux. I can't wait to pair it with Gris Charnel 😍 mine is still in my FAC so I won't be able to do that until December. I think it's meant to be more of a spring summer scent, but to me it felt more autumn winter 😕 It's the only Glossier I've tried.

SOTD for me is the BTSO musc x again. It's really nice this one 😍 i only have a 1.2ml sample, I probably won't get a 30ml bottle as there's other fragrances I'd prefer to have, but hopefully I can get a little 10ml from somewhere or in a kit? 😊 Still trying to decide if I need to get the scent kit from liberty 🤣

SOTD or morning is Liberty 1875.

its definitely not for me- I think tuberose is the culprit.

Tried the vanilla salt from.snk and really can't make my mind up. I generally like salty vanilla this one is strong on the salt not much vanilla. Could be a grower.

Tried all the glossier from the mini sample set and fleur is my favorite. Though it would be reve. Doux and youx have that artificial iso e super feel that I'm not keen on.

Heading back to liberty to pick up some kits for my ebay shop. May get another scent kit, definitely the men's kit and poss the glam.

Ill certainly be earning my loyalty points!

Went to liberty and got another scent kit plus the violette founders edit and the man kit, all with BD discount. Will need another suitcase to get home at this rate!
I can see the scent kit selling out soon so dont delay if you are deliberating.

Didn't fancy the glam kit, i'm getting quite particular about makeup and i find it hard to find the right combination of things in a kit.

Decided the glossier frags are weak as anything, maybe im just used to stronger stuff now but these are skin scents. Lucky I only bought the sampler.

I quite like it, it was a 'grower'. Its quite a unique scent though so not one for everyone. Im all stocked up now having bought 2 x scent kits plus one in store when it was released!

I'm so tempted to buy the scent edit but I've spent so much recently, I'm also trying to be good. I'll probably kick myself if it sells out before I've made a decision. I'm also waiting on them coming back to my email about my missing glam kit, I know I should phone them but I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone today 🤣

The violette edit isn't on the website, its a new brand there i think. Mainly makeup. Its got a blush, lip balm, lipstick, westman mascara, Irene forte cleansing milk, lisa eldridge eye pencil votary overnight mask and grown alchemist body cream. I just grabbed it excitedly without much consideration tbf. Will plonk most on ebay , keep a few things. It was worth a punt but maybe not their best edit. It was around £100 with the bd discount.

Could be an early release? The individual products look to retail for £30 to £40 which is hideously overpriced but as a kit it works out ok. Not sure the lippy is my shade, nor the blush, but if they dont sell I'll try them out. No perfumes in this kit but I have enough of those. The lip treatment is nice.

Sot evening is bdk gris charnel extrait. A strong one. Think the in laws are noticing wafts coming from the guest room, but MIL did get a lovely bag of goodies, and I've been mindful not to spritz in communal areas.

I am really enjoying velvet aura, it's not like me up want to wear same perfume 3 days in row. I prefer the scent on clothes I have to admit but during the winter that's not an issue for me. I am going to have to consider backup as it's limited edition - I don't have any other back ups in my collection

The reason I prefer it on clothes apart from longevity is that it remains more like the opening and less vanilla.

Looking forward getting my first Liberty kit, probably later this week and hopefully my Space Nk cracker arrives in store this week too.

I am going to go over my fragrance advent purchases what my current view of each is, starting from perfume shop and look fantastic today. It may change as some are spring scents. I wonder what is the right journey of me discovering perfumes as the two new loves I found this fall are both from store sniffing trips.

@MiaN what make is velvet aura please? Sorry, I've only been properly interested in perfume since August time ish so I don't know who makes what perfume but like learning 😊

I've taken all the spring summer scents out of the SNK and HN ACs and put them all in the HN ac. I'll open that in spring. All the autumn winter ones are in the SNK, ready to open in December alongside my harrods one, eek!! I can't wait! I really like how the miniature bottles are the same as the big bottles in the perfume shops ac, so cute 🥰 I couldn't make my mind up about it and missed out on that one.

Are you planning on getting the scent edit from liberty? I'm still trying to decide if I want it.

Today's SOTD is Phlur Father Figure for this morning. I'm going to Stockeld park today for their Halloween fun day, it's all outside stuff, so I'm going to spray on ADP spice and oud before I go.

Of course, perfume is very personal - I smell heaven you smell p**p as it happened with one perfume in our house but this is how we are getting on with the perfume shop
