I may commit fresh top to Xerjoff Italica. Very gourmand perfume - milky toffee, bourbon, and almond paste. As any xerjoff it is intense. I only have a sample, unlikely it will turn to bottle but I will enjoy it for day or two and on clothes it lasts long. I will see how I feel in few hours

Hm no. I need it to be under 5 degrees out to wear something that intensely sweet.

I will go for Rare beauty perfume from last Christmas that is like less citrussy version of Bal D'Afrique(but the current one)

Yesterday I went for Jo Loves Amber, Lime and Bergamot which worked surprisingly well on top of the lingering residue of Cuir Infrarouge on my wrists. I sprayed it on my elbows as well so I could get the "clean" version and I like it. Fades too quickly, of course.

Granado tropicalia today. Nutty and rich. I do like a nut note in perfume especially in winter.

Byredo are emailing the voucher from the grand discovery kit today. I have no patience to wait til I've sampled everything, plus I dont want to be in a dilemma of choosing between 2 or more, so have decided on mg absolu as my fb.

Yes, but you do get a full bottle included, at least the edp, extrait you have to pay a big extra.

SOTD has been Phlur Father figure from the SpaceNk cracker layered with the kilian apple brandy from the flannels fragrance box - Omg! Such a gorgeous combination 😍

It's great deal if you are going to be buying full bottle only. I would love to know if they gave you the full value or the 165 euro as they say now, as they changed the wording!

I am going for Chanel Chance Eau Tendre. I love both EDT and EDP and my nose needs something pretty, polite, clean and easy to love today. My husband wore oud perfume and I did not enjoy Italica at all - even though I only had one spray it is very strong. I think very gourmnadish smells make me hungry - I do better with fruity sweet.

I sold Serene, it really was not my vibe. I generally prefer fresh perfumes with the occasional braver choice,

Can anyone offer advice on Phlur Vanilla Smoke v MMM By the Fireplace?

I have spent 12 months using up multiple samples, discovery sets and opened bottles partly to get them used up and partly to see if anything grabbed me to buy a new FSB. Nothing really did but the back up was to get a BTF for winter. Then yesterday I happened to smell Vanilla Smoke and I love it.

Am not sure how identical it is to BTF and it’s probably lighter as it’s a mist rather than EDP but it’s much cheaper and there is a decadent layering set which also contains Vanilla Skin and Heavy Cream. My fingers are itching to buy it.

Has anyone smelt BTF and Vanilla Smoke side by side to compare and contrast?

@MiaN I've bought 2 extra bottles of sirene on vinted 🤣 if I sell anything else, I might use my balance to buy another, I love it so much and I fear that I will be left without. Although part of me thinks that harrods may include a fs bottle in next year's FAC. But maybe that is just wishful thinking on my part. Sirene and gris Charnel are definitely my faves from the ACs though (still to open a few, inc Valaya so that may change).

I sprayed on sandalwood temple for bed last night, and I'm still in bed 🙈🤣 and I can smell it on my pj's. I really like this one. I'd never heard of sana jardin before but I'd be keen to try others.

I'm planning to sort out my dressing table drawers today so I have space for my new fragrances for advent season, so apart from going to aldi for the food shop and probably b&m and home bargains for storage ideas, I'll be at home. I might try out the Ellis Brooklyn vanilla salt, I don't think I want to wear the creed or JHAG Juliette from the flannels cracker until I'm going out out. Did anyone else get the Ellis Brooklyn vanilla milk sample? I think it's quite nice, but I've not worn it yet. I might also try that today at some point.

I don't like vanilla milk, to put it mildly! We all have different taste though, I do get burned plastic smell from some vanillas.

I believe it get £150 credit but this is what it was previously. Last time that was enough for a fb of edp. Extrait I was fully expecting to pay the extra.

They've not sent the voucher yet. I'll chase tomorrow.

Haven't been dipping in to the kit as away from home.

I have seen some reviews from people saying it smells of gone off milk to them 🤢 I've not smelt it actually on me yet, so I hope I don't get that 🤣

Off to liberty today, mainly so my daughter can go to the fabric floor as shes recently got into sewing. But Of course ill be making a rip to the perfume and beauty hall. I dont think the kits are on sale in store yet... darn it... I have scent but was considering the other ones. The manly ones are usually quite good , I dont mind unisex things, and cheaper than the ladies.

May have to make a 2nd cheeky trip back if they are not out yet before I return on Tuesday

I said it before, but I used to like Carnal Flower. My son said it smells like soiled nappy/poop and my husband like something dead. It's such a highly rated perfume and I have tried them with same 6 month apart, on tester, without telling them what it is and they say same immediately.

We all have different taste, so if you have your own space do what you like. But if going on date with me, please no oud like my husband yesterday! I am not going to put the smell like dead perfume, you don't put on the oud. Fear?

Im in the big smoke and I took with me travel size / testers of gris charnel extrait, alto astral, liberty 1875 and babylon. Oh and memo marfa.

Bought some travel size scents and beauty stuff for my host, will make up for stinking the house out!

Carnal Flower has camphor as a note whivj I hate. Also in bibbi Swimming Pool which explains why I hated that one too.

Im in liberty right now although marooned on the fabric floor as daughter enjoys looking at the off cuts. Had a spritz of tana meadow which is ok, had my fill of the LBTY ones for now though.

I think so, not as unique but they both have very clean out of the shower pretty and polite scent. Mojave Ghost has the edge, they are not dupes and there are times I prefer the other. But they have similar feel

My SOTD ended up being the vanilla milk from the SpaceNk sample, which I used more like a body spray before I did my hair and makeup, then before going out, I put on a few sprays of acqua di parma spice and oud, I really like it. It's not a smokey oud, but more glowing, warm and lighter. I like how it lingers too.
