A new thread. Autumn beckons, lets hope we get some interesting looks to discuss!

Sophie's shoes/boots would have been nice if it weren't for the heel. I don't think that style looks right with a heel.

I'm pleased to see her in something other than a waisted dress, but the overall look is very beige (yes, I know strictly speaking the suit is taupe, but you know what I mean). The head-to-toe neutrals look is a statement of sorts, I suppose, just not one I like. There isn't much going on texturally either. Oh for even a tiny bit of darker brown to provide some contrast!

I can’t really see the heels in that photo. Is there another one? She really suits that style of trousers and jacket and I think the colour is fine. The top
looks a lot lighter than the suit, so there is some
contrast 🤷‍♀️

@smilesy I could be wrong, but there appears to be a block heel on her right foot (the tucked behind one).

Just for comparison, how about CP Victoria out and about on a tree walk in Stockholm back in August? Fringed tweed jackets are light years from being my kind of thing, but I really like how she's styled hers here. Turning up the cuffs and pairing it with casual trousers and trainers completely transforms the vibe.

Apparently these are the boots Sophie is wearing. I don't mind the heel.

Anne just looks so down-to-earth and no-nonsense (in a good way). No airs and graces.

A mum and daughter montage. I love that the next generation of european princesses are at an age where they are out and about. Style wise some outfits are more successful than others, but at their age you can get away with anything really!

And one of Margrethe and Fred, just in case he feels left out! Margrethe still likes her bold outfits!

I really like Mary’s shirt in that pic with her MIL. Unfortunately the royal house published a photo of her taken from the side where the blouse was gaping a bit and you could see her bra. The royal house itself published it! Some better checking needed there!

Mathilde in blue is at her son’s swearing in ceremony for the military. I have seen a video and she looks so so proud of him. It’s really sweet. The one with her daughter in the montage is when she visited her at Harvard before the UN NY week.

I have only just found this but Gabriella went to the 25th Annual BrazilFoundation Gala at the Plaza Hotel in NYC in mid September. She looks gorgeous, I really hope she is enjoying life as much as she can.

Now I've seen that tartan jacket Daisy is wearing. It's bang up to the minute. 😂

Going back to Catherine's rings, I heard mention of the 5 of them the other day but hadn't seen any pictures so thank you to @frugalkitty . I am a bit of a ring person and have just chosen an eternity ring, I definitely had to go slim to fit it on even though my wedding and engagement rings are also slim, I have short fingers. But on my other hand I wear thin silver stacking rings and can get up to 7 on the equivalent finger. I suspect Catherine's fingers are longer and slimmer than mine. I like that her collection are all individual rather than a matching set and that they all (apparently)have special meaning. I think DH would be relieved to know I'm done with three (I buy my own stacking rings).

Lady Gabriella looks lovely in that dress @Choux - albeit she seems to have one of Maria-Therese's famous sartorial cabbages stuck to the front. It's nice to see her out and about after such a tough time.

Speaking of the Luxembourgs, our mascots have been very quiet recently.

The mascots' parents are busy getting ready to step into their roles as Grand Duke and Duchess at the moment. I think GD Henri is abdicating this month.

The change of Grand Duke happens on Friday! I don’t know how it happens but I imagine both parents will be involved in the formalities so the kids might not make much of an appearance. They are still very young.

@Cassiope what do you think of these? The King and Queen of Denmark are hosting a dinner for European Heads of State and Government Leaders in connection with the European Political Community Meeting. These are the flowers.

I think it was @cassiope who was interested in the flowers from the Trump state banquet the other week.

The room is lovely but if I had to choose one for a dinner it would be Windsor all the way. Mary was seated in between Starmer and Macron.

Poor Mary a rose between two thorns indeed.

Mary greeted Macron very warmly indeed earlier in the day so I don’t think she minds being seated next to him. And I think Starmer can do off duty chat and be a good guest. I think she probably chose to be near both of them.

Tried to persuade DH he should buy this for me, but he just laughed...

Such a gorgeous tiara. Hope it gets bought by someone who wears it often!
