I used the Suqqu this morning and my face is still so greasy!! It took a lot of cleanse to get it off! My skin is usually quite dry so I’m surprised! Is it more of a night cream thing?

I used it at night and it was still there/active in the morning. Can’t imagine a daytime use for it. Even at night I think it’s too much for my skin.

BIossomtoes · 17/01/2026 08:33

Mine drank it up. How much did you both use?

HumBumBum · 17/01/2026 08:40

Just a pea-size, is that too much?

BIossomtoes · 17/01/2026 08:42

Shouldn’t be. Obviously my skin is uber thirsty!

Where abouts do you use it in your routine? I think I'll give it a try tonight.

AndeanFlamingo · 17/01/2026 11:01

I just used a tiny bit of the Votary on the areas that get most dried out at this time of year (around my nose and mouth) and it's been great for that. The instructions on the product page say to use on any dry/distressed areas, so it's not for the whole face (unless needed).

IDontHateRainbows · 17/01/2026 11:09

Wondering if there will be a discount on perfume as part of the beauty drop promo this week? Maybe tomorrow?

I think the list someone posted said tomorrow was perfume.

I have retried this morning with great results. Used after my usual bio effect serum (about 20 mins later) and started with pin point sized amount and built up. This worked well and it has left me moisturised and glowy. Thank you to the poster who recognised my heavy handedness was likely to blame! The little tube will last ages with the amount I used too.

I’ve loved the Votary balm so far, used a couple of times this week as I’ve been ill with a grim cold and chest infection and my period, and miraculously I don’t look like a shrivelled pea, so it must be good. I’ve got a really sore septum/nostril as a result of blowing my nose so much, I’d love recommendations on miracle healing products for that kind of thing.

Arrearing50 · 17/01/2026 12:49

I’m definitely buying the votary balm - my skin must be really dehydrated. I got my hall of fame yesterday and better than I thought - the elastizer booster and the ozmor what’s it are lovely.

I’ve managed to gift a few bits too to a teen so that’s saved me money on a present.

Not a luxe product at all, but I swear by Lanolips balm for this, so long as you're not reactive to lanolin. The plain, uncoloured one - https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/p/lanolips-the-original-101-ointment/11121832/. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you! I’ll give it a try. The Votary is helping and I have an is clinical product called Sheald which is great but it just needs a little protection/soothing. Currently got the La Mer lip balm on it but I’d rather not…

BlueLimes · 17/01/2026 13:48

I really like the a suqqu- I’m stalking vinted for more. Oos in Liberty which is a shame - I’ve so much credit.

Dr Paw Paw balm - cheap and effective!

The perfumes didn't work for me, won't be using the exfolicator but I love the votary cream and looking forward to trying the other 2 products. This is my first subscription box ever and I am not disappointed.

I find plain old vaseline to be the best for this.

Umbilicat · 18/01/2026 11:34

My box still hasn’t shown up. Is this normal? How long do I wait before I chase them?

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 18/01/2026 14:26

@UmbilicatI have Whatsapped in the past after a couple of days and they sent me a replacement straight away.

So I’d contact them asap

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 20/01/2026 03:12

Got my box the day after dispatch & it was a total surprise as I hadn't even seen the spoilers (which I love to see)
Unfortunately it's not my favourite box.

Not keen on Hera Oud as it's the most 1970's hospital smell ever out of all the LBTY fragrances & I usually love that smell (as reminds me of the child health clinic that my Mum took me to for my polio sugar cube amongst other things & woe betide any other child who got on the clinic rocking horse as I had decided it was mine)
That's a key note in Vine Thief but much more subtle - I mean the medical smell not the rocking horse 😂

I really like the Sana Jana Age of Aquarius perfume as it's so light & lemony. I'll keep it for hot Summer days & alternate with my Eau Dynamisante.

Sisley hair mask ok I suppose but looks a faff compared to the famous Elasticizer - which I do like now I've got round to using my stash.

Kate Somerville Exfolikate another cleanser to add to my stash/travel bag.

Not tried The Votary Balm & not sure that I'd ever use it as Sudocrem or Liz Earle Superbalm or even a facial oil is the bees knees for any sore dry, chapped skin you get after a cold/flu etc. Plus I've not tried my AB Soothing Cream yet that we got in an earlier box.

Suqqu watery stuff not bothered about, will Vint it when I get round to it &'might do that with both the Sisley & Votary too.

BCSurvivor · 20/01/2026 08:52

New kit out!
On the fence with this one, incence sticks are definitely not for me but like the sound of the fragrance and a few of the other items.
BUT, I probably can't justify another beauty splurge in gloomy January!

BakeOffRewatch · 20/01/2026 09:16

I don’t think it’s one that will sell out. I like it because it has lots of full sizes, the eye masks, MZ Skin moisturiser and body serum are appealing. Love Ex Nihilo. Pass on bath oil and incense.

Arrearing50 · 20/01/2026 09:24

It’s not bad - on the fence here as well. I love a bath oil and body serum, but again, £85 is on the steep side a bit..otoh I would use it all.

just 11 more days of Jan to go…off to see if the supermarkets have the daffs out yet this weekend!

BCSurvivor · 20/01/2026 09:31

I've never really got incense.
I love a scented candle, but incense...maybe I'm not using it properly, but I've always just got a perfumed bonfire smell.
