A rather niche ‘reward’ for us all today…

Alwaystheplusone · 15/01/2026 08:36

Erm, so Liberty is trying to tell us this is a ‘reward’? You might win a facial but you need to spend £150 on products from the range in order to enter? Am I missing something or are they taking the piss?

BakeOffRewatch · 15/01/2026 08:39

win a trending “salmon sperm reset” facial” who’s tempted?

So funny we’re all coming here to say same thing. Yeah I thought it would be a prize draw where you type your email in, who would spend £150 off the bat on a totally new, unreviewed brand just for a possible salmon sperm facial. Maybe the same person who received the penis diamond statement ring?

Ha you beat me to it! David Jack is a hot new line - the eye cream has been raved about in the press (but you never know what’s effectively an infomercial these days), shelling out £150 for a prize draw is one hell of a raffle.

but then, the treatments he does are ££££…

AprilLady · 15/01/2026 08:41

@Alwaystheplusone agree, it is a ridiculous “reward”. Once upon a time £150 was the minimum spend for a Liberty GWP worth over £300 - that was an actual “reward”.

My money is safe today 😆😆😆

BakeOffRewatch · 15/01/2026 08:46

It’s the “Simply spend” that gets me. No I need 6 months worth of over analysing with mumsnet posters first thank you very much.

Seagullstopitnow · 15/01/2026 08:46

My Mum has decided I need a bottle of the San Jardin for my birthday (and one for herself of course)
Is Sunday perfume day?

P.S. I love my mum.

RadiatorBTUQ · 15/01/2026 08:50

What absolute bunkum. And he charges £350 for that - and the "facial"lasts 45 minutes?!

Arrearing50 · 15/01/2026 08:53

Oh he’s in that space where you go and get Botox and eye treatments and you’ve kissed goodbye to £3000 - his products are perfume for the non couture customers…

bendybusbuggy1 · 14/01/2026 18:17

I bought the hall of fame last week, without the additional discount. I'm sure I'll get over it eventually...

yep, me too :)
It is a great box though, and I got to use up my credit.

msmillicentcat · 15/01/2026 08:58

Erm, I’m good for salmon sperm thanks!

I don’t think the rewards are very impressive this week unfortunately.

I tried the Votary and yes I agree with the pp that it’s quite thick, I think too much for my face but I put it on my neck yesterday and it still feels good 24 hours later. So I’m going to use it as a neck cream.

Arrearing50 · 15/01/2026 09:05

So many products are like that though - the votary balm makes my skin feel amazing and glow…I think I’ll get a large bottle and drown myself
in it. But then I could moisturise my face 6 times a day in the winter….

Hicupping · 15/01/2026 09:09

Spend a £150 for the chance to win isn't compelling to me.

PuzzlingRecluse · 15/01/2026 11:26

Has anyone found a good price for the full size votary? I’ve bought a couple more tiny ones from vinted - am in love

Do you find it goes greasy when you rub it in, or is that just me?

Arrearing50 · 15/01/2026 15:20

No if you join votary website you can get 15 pc off the £35 RRP @PuzzlingRecluse but need to spend £50+ for free shipping.

its a pain as other places will stock but it is a great winter product…

HumBumBum · 15/01/2026 18:03

My Beauty Hall kit arrived and I’m slightly overwhelmed with all the decent sized products - I love it to bits!!

From the Beauty Drop I’ve lost the the Votary, can’t think what I did with it. The Sisley did nothing for my hair in these damp conditions, v frizzy (when I styled it straight, looks terrible). The Suqqu worked well as an overnight mask and I like both the perfumes although neither have longevity. I already reported on the Kate Cleanser which is the only thing I’d re-buy so far.

Buster27 · 16/01/2026 13:47

My Beauty Drop finally arrived.. I'm a bit baffled as I've received two! I rejoined after Christmas, so assuming it may be because I'm 'new'. I thought I'd be too late to get the previous box, but wasn't expecting to get two of this one so it's a bonus (especially as it's a good box for me!).

It’s not just you chic, I’ve tried the Votary this evening and my face is like an oil slick. I normally love Votary but this will be repurposed as a foot cream or something.

countdowntonap · 16/01/2026 21:07

@Addictedtobeauty I used a pea sized amount (max) across my whole face this morning under my foundation and my skin has looked lovely and glowy even 10 hours later. Perhaps try using less?

I think you’re right- I probably did use too much. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Maybe it’s my skin, I tried using less and as I run it in it starts to turn greasy. I had the same issue with Kate Somerville goat milk moisturizer - other people seem to love it but it goes greasy when I rub it in!
