Liberty Beauty Drop Spoiler (from the despatch date!) Part 10
OvaHere · 11/04/2026 19:13

@TreesinthePark I do actually like that foot cream but it's not very exciting, it's still foot cream.

@Addictedtobeauty I feel the same. If the advent isn't for me for a 2nd year running I probably won't continue into the new year. I may hang on for the Oct box as that always seems to be a decent one ( I think). It's nice having a discount on the edits I like and free postage but if there only ends up being one or two a year I'm interested in I'm not sure whether it's worth it? Maybe it is in a way as it acts as a saving scheme. I'll need to have a proper think later in the year.

OvaHere · 11/04/2026 19:18

@Beautyfox I'm a bit disappointed there's no make up discount day. There's a few bits I was thinking I'd pick up in members week with 20% off and double points. I skipped the last one and I may end up skipping this one too. I do have quite a lot of credit to spend but realistically I'd be better hanging on to it in case of an edit I want or the AC.

Hicupping · 12/04/2026 15:37

I've already got 3 of those. Interested to try the lbty fragrance as everyone seems to love it. The Bibbi less so as it's a bit like Fugazzi for me where I never like them. Will save the cream for winter.
I think it's a generous box.

A foot creams, I really rate is cerave's. It dries very quickly, slightly exfoliating and very moisurising. Of course no one needs one now but.

HostessTrolley · 12/04/2026 18:46

I'm interested to try the foot cream, although my 'go to' product is the much cheaper Soap and Glory foot cream - it has urea in it which works miracles on rough skin

keepincool · 12/04/2026 19:31

If anyone has a Student Beans account, or can get access to one, you can get 15% off everything including makeup on your first order, and 10% off subsequent orders with Liberty. Discount applies to all full price items i think and might not stack with other discounts.

Looking at the first day of The Drop week, I love Sunday Riley, but it feels very London centric when the GWP is so much better in store than it is if ordering online.

Instore - free toiletry bag, serum and good genes.
Online - free serum only.

I'm sure in the past the GWP has been the same, whether ordered online or instore?

Yep clearly they are trying to get the footfall up. Would if I could but I live miles away, alas!

Beautyfox · 13/04/2026 12:47

My box has arrived….
the bibbi perfume smells like mouth wash to me but I have never liked any of the Bibbi perfumes so it may just be me. Interestingly it says it specifically made for liberty so I wonder if it will be an exclusive fragrance.

The hand cream is a good size.

The PK has gone straight into my donate bag because it doesn’t work for me.

msmillicentcat · 13/04/2026 13:32

Reminder of new thread ☺️

IDontHateRainbows · 13/04/2026 14:41

Beauty drop arrived. Not impressed. The perfumes are ok but I already had swimming pool. The hand cream and foot cream have gone straight on vinted. I'll probably use the pk as a back up if I run out of my usual conditioner but niche exciting product it is not!

I think this may be one of the worst bds ever

RoseTeaLady · 13/04/2026 15:40

Hmm. ‘Useful’ is the best thing I can say about this box. The one item I’m pleased about is the Liberty perfume, as I’d wanted to try this one. A bigger sample would have been nice 🤷‍♀️

RoseTeaLady · 13/04/2026 15:58

This box has helped me decide to take a break from Beauty Drop. I have so much stuff! No doubt these threads will encourage me to resubscribe later in the year!

Nearlyhealthy · 13/04/2026 19:08

I like the Tana Meadow a lot, but the Bibbi smells like toothpaste to me. Foot cream I use anyway so I guess it’s at least useful, handcream I should use much more than I do so I’ll give that one a go. I tend to put that type of conditioner on my hair under a swimming cap when I go to the pool in the hope that it might help protect a little bit so I’ll use that. And the face cream is yet another that I’ll use but I’m pretty sure not be tempted to buy. So overall I agree it’s not a dreadful box but not an exciting one either. I really don’t particularly want to smell of toothpaste.

lokijet · 14/04/2026 11:11

Is there anyway we can give feedback to liberty - the boxes used to be so much better than this - I really never want to see another elasticiset - this is meant to showcase innovative new products and brands

pinkchampagne1 · 14/04/2026 14:04

Just received my box and agree that it isn’t overly exciting. The perfumes are nice but very small. Hand cream and foot creams don’t excite me, neither does the PK product.

BakeOffRewatch · 14/04/2026 14:10

I’ve just put some of the Grown Alchemist hand cream on, it’s the same consistency as the one that comes in a black tube. Smells plastic though and I can’t smell any rose or ylang ylang.

Yes, definitely no proper fragrance.

Hi you can email, [email protected]

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 14/04/2026 19:15

It is worth complaining to Liberty.

I was one of the few people who hated the Advent Calendar this year and I pointed out how much the products have changed in the past 10 years since I first bought it. The endless perfumes

They sent me a lovely wash bag with a lot of samples. Unfortunately the full size hand and foot cream plus the PK hair cream were the bulk of it (clearly not selling)

But far better than nothing

I also hated the last advent calendar and I complained. Received a free box of goodies, all of which were in the calendar but the better bits so not too bad!

I’ve just tried it. Is it supposed to be quite runny (like a lotion, not a cream)?! It’s not what I was expecting!

I don’t know what it’s meant to do, but I have the black tube and it’s the same which is why it’s an “at home” hand cream and not a handbag one!

Umbilicat · 15/04/2026 17:30

Liberty used to do amazing GWPs, I remember actually gasping at how good one was.

All long gone - plus there's nothign worth buying to spend the required amount to get it, as pp said all the best brands seem to vanish after a year or so. Such a shame.

Arrearing50 · 15/04/2026 17:45

It’s only liberty / space gifts q often microscopic sizes these days…CB edits usually best value to be found? I need to find the beauty obsessives thread again!
