Anyone still wear tights with dresses in winter?

I haven't seen much of it out and about for years, my brain can't picture it as easily now!
I do love a warm jersey dress in colder months although a few are now retired at the back of wardrobe. Perhaps they don't work as well with modern accessories, etc?

I started wearing cord trousers mostly in winter but am getting a bit bored.

? Where do ypu live that you don't see women wearing tights and drrsses in winter?

I am in Shropshire, I don't see it as much as previously, more so the tights really. Literally everyone is in baggy trousers!

I wear them in summer! 15 denier last week anyway, when it wasn't quite so hot.

Me too! I’ve never got the knack of wearing shoes without tights. Sandals of course. Trainers with no-show liner socks. But a proper shoe always rubs and makes my feet feel sore and sweaty if I don’t wear thin tights.

Haven't for years here, I don't notice any of my friends or colleagues wearing them either it seems to all be jeans or trousers now. Much comfier and easier to layer.

I wear tights with dresses when it’s cold. Which is quite often as I live in Scotland.

They are everywhere in our office. It’s a bit of a work winter uniform.

this appeals to me! But where to find good quality winter weight skirts that aren't so long they sweep the floor...i am 5'4 but many so called midis now are soooo long.

Actually I find dresses/skirts and tights far more comfy than trousers.

It’s basically the uniform in certain Jewish circles so I see it (and wear it) a lot!

I wear them! I particularly like coloured tights (though really don't like wearing coloured trousers, no idea) with a dress.

It's a very normal thing to wear a dress and tights in winter. I often wear ankle boots with that combo..

I haven’t worn black opaques for years. Always used to with a mini and knee high boots. Don’t go into the office much now though.

I wear dresses all year round, with/without tights. DM’s in winter with coloured opaque tights, usually from better tight and ballet shoes with hidden socks in summer, or hotter tourist sandals.

Never ever black opague: 90s work wear IMO.

I live in dresses with tights in the colder months.

Plain dresses with fancy tights, fancy dresses with plain tights. Long/short lengths and footwear of all sizes.

I think dresses and skirts with tights is fine as long as the boots are modern and the length is right. I agree that longish midis and tights are in. Above knee dresses? Not really
