Yes, much love for Leti's bracelet/bangle!

Felipe is a very stylish and well appointed dresser so I should've known that his outfit was perfectly considered and entirely appropriate.

I don't think it's terrible that the Dutchies holiday abroad, but I do think they should spend at least one week at home every summer to promote various holiday settings in the Netherlands. But that may not actually be feasible with security issues I guess. The Danes and the Swedes (and possibly the Norwegians too) have holiday homes abroad in sunnier climes but they still spend much of the holidays at home.

I think Catherine looks great in the suit. Love the colour and don't really see any issues with fit/proportion but it is very difficult to know for sure. I think there's a video somewhere which might show it better.

Christian and Isabella attended a music festival/concert. Nikolai (Royal Adjacent?) and Benedikte went matching for Copenhagen Fashion Week. Not very keen on that! Haven't found every good photos but there's a video on insta.

Your wish is my command @Cassiope😊

I am sure that there are more but as a starter here are some of Kate’s suits. I love the bright red on her and also the white/orange (apart from the white shoes).

I don't like Kate in suits but never seen that red one, she looks fantastic in that cut, maybe it's the longer jacket?

Maireas · 08/08/2025 09:37

Thanks, @RomainingCalm . I really like the pink and the blue ones.

Thank you 😊

As someone who also has a long torso (only thing I have in common with Catherine!) the ones I’m drawn to are also pink and blue, purely because they look “right” at her waist. The rest would feel too low on me, which is perhaps clouding my judgement.
I often have to go for high waisted trousers, just them to sit at my waist.

Eaumyword · 09/08/2025 15:31

Ooh I love a photo montage, thanks for posting @RomainingCalm!
The red suit is total va va voom! Gorgeous.
They are all pretty. The pink and purple are lovely colours too.

smilesy · 09/08/2025 15:40

I love the red suit too. And the first green one because that is very much my colour. Not 100% sold on the t shirt under it, but it does give a more casual vibe

Here are the Olgilvys at Sandhurst for Alexander's graduation. Princess Akexandra is in quite a colourful floral coat, Alex's sister Flora Vesterberg is wearing blue Emilia Wickstead and Mum Julia Ogilvy is wearing pink wrap with a pale floral dress. Nice shots of colour.

Princess Alexandra’s outfit has more than a hint of Daisy about it! 💕

What a happy occasion and lovely dresses. They obviously didn’t read the thread that suggested jeans and a clean t-shirt would be perfectly fine for a graduation.

Maireas · 09/08/2025 21:32

You're right, @RomainingCalm - Alexandra's outfit most definitely has a Daisy vibe! Yes, it's nice to see everyone dressed up and some nice summery colours.

Thanks for the suit piccies @RomainingCalm and apologies for the delayed response. I succumbed to v. nasty bug on Friday and although I'm still feeling a bit sorry for myself, I've reached the stage where pictures of beautiful clothes are cheering.

Seeing them all together made me realise that when it comes to suits I'm a conservative: I like classic, beautifully tailored, slightly longer jackets that highlight a woman's waist, nothing over-elaborate and nothing too outre in the trousers department. I also really dislike heels with tapered trousers, but I'm prepared to be in the minority on that. I agree with all those saying the red suit is gorgeous.

I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of colours and underneath layers - more suits here! Not keen on the leotard-style top as an underlayer, nor quite ready to rehabilitate the pussy bow - the sort of pseudo-cravat ruffle on the shirt she wore with the chartreuse Beckham suit is a good alternative though.

She's got another double-breasted suit (navy blue pinstripes) that she’s worn several times - I like it better than the recent green one.

Love the print on sis’s dress. Shame about her horrible headgear.

Maireas · 11/08/2025 22:08

That's rough, @Cassiope , I hope you're feeling better now. Thanks for the link, I do like Kate in these suits, it's definitely a more modern look. I like the VB one, but I do agree with you about the pussy bow blouses!

Just saw the trailer for Megan's new show. No intention of watching as lifestyle shows aren't my thing but she's wearing some lovely outfits that I want a closer look at!

Maireas · 12/08/2025 21:10

Maybe we can upload some stills!

I like the pinstripe suit Kate is wearing on that visit to Wales in 2023. She looks great. Her hair is amazing.
How she can wear those heels on a walkabout is beyond me. I’m in awe.
She must have balls (of her feet ) of steel.
I’m not so keen on William’s outfit. The jacket and trousers are similar in shade but just mismatch

KiIIingMeDeftly · 13/08/2025 09:12

How long are the walkabouts? I don't think its too hard to wear heels for short stretches. It's not like she had to walk there or hang around at the bus stop for her bus home!

This is a classic jeans and shirt combo that she does really well, and there are a couple of lovely Carolina Herrera dresses too.

Maireas · 13/08/2025 09:36

That's a good look. I really like the shirt and notice that the jeans are a slightly higher rise. I think she looks good in blue, which I prefer to the beige she has recently favoured.

I like the bunting themed dress! And I like Meghan's casuals.

Cassiope · 13/08/2025 19:49

Yey! Sophie's dress has short sleeves! It's still looong, but I'm prepared to be generous as the print is a good one - much more attractive than the Erdem print she wore earlier in the summer, which might euphemistically have been characterised as 'dramatic'.

Megan's jeans plus bouffy shirt looks very late 80s to me. Not keen at all.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 13/08/2025 20:20

I dont think its remotely 80s, though tbh I'm too young to remember a huge amount about the 80s. Oversized striped shirts are fairly on-trend and I've seen them everywhere, from Adidas to Selfridges!

Oversized striped shirts are available everywhere - from H&M and Zara to Tommy Hilfiger and elsewhere. Not remotely 80's at all.
