Have loved this Self Portrait dress for a while and saw it went 25% off today. It was reduced to €390/£335. I have no formal enough occasion coming up this year for it but I’d love to save it for the next wedding or something appropriate. I’m trying to save a bit more at the moment (for nothing specific) so I can cover it if I dip in to those. There was 1 left in my size and I couldn’t resist. If it fits should I keep it? 😅

Gosh. What was it that you liked about the outfit? It's quite conservative in style isn't it.

If you can afford it, it fits and looks nice on you then yes keep it! I personally don’t love it as I think it looks quite old fashioned and like workwear but that’s just my opinion! If you like it go for it.

I love self portrait atm. I am lusting after a long gold dress that I have no use for either. It is £595 😳 Go for it I say!

OP - I think you need to try it on, then try to imagine where you can possibly wear it, and then return it.
It's formal but in a strange way - so I can't really imagine where you'd wear it. Some formal day time tea in a gardens of sorts? Daytime fundraiser lunch for Royal Opera?... etc

If you love it, feel good in it, foresee that you'll have an event to wear it to one day (soonish...) and no one is going to starve if you keep it - then keep it, and enjoy it.

Playing nice here so what I do like is the beautiful powder blue style colour and the strong silhouette of the piece. I think it’s one of those that you really have to try on to really know if it’ll suit you. My dumpy 5’ frame could never! I am a little intrigued by the design though and would be great once you get it to upload a photo minus face 🙂

It would be hot for a summer wedding, but Cosy for a winter event. It's not my style, but I can see It's value. I much prefer it to standard wedding guest dresses.
