If you were only allowed to have ONE perfume for life which would it be and why?

As title says really. I think mine would be Halfeti because it’s the only one I’ve ever had compliments on.

Jo Malone - Wood, Sage & Sea Salt. It smells like the beach.

Roger & Gallet Gingembre Rouge.

Coco Chanel. I made it my signature perfume in 1989. For the last ten years I've been trying out new fragrances - many of which I find more interesting - but the only one people reliably compliment me on is Coco.

I'm a bit worried that Chanel stopped displaying Coco on its website years ago. If it's been discontinued, there must be a lot of back stock as it's still available at the usual prices, but what if it disappears??! First world problems 😒

Chanel 19 here too - I have about 50 perfumes but that’s the one that feels like “me”. Honourable mention to Glossier You too though.

Le Labo Another 13. I'm obsessed with it.

I tried to get a grown up perfume and couldn’t get on with any so have gone back to my first loves - Ralph Lauren in the bright blue box, and Tommy Girl. I can pick both up for about £30 in Boots or Superdrug so I am quite happy.

Out of the ones I currently own probably Byredo Mojave Ghost Absolu.

I bloody love this. My first proper BF bought me it and it reminds me of summer days. He died 3 weeks ago and I'll be wearing it thinking of him forever. Hard to find to buy now though

I've just searched the Chanel website and found it - it looks different now, the liquid's pink! To make sure I wasn't going mad (or even madder), I checked online reviews and, sure enough, loads of people are saying it's changed.

I'm down to my last 15ml or so, and I don't want to spend £100 on a new bottle of imperfect pong 😱

Maybe Baby by Benefit was gorgeous and my favourite perfume ever. Alas now discontinued.

It is really hard to find, but I was lucky enough to find it a few months ago in an independent department store in London. Absolute steal at £50, although I don't remember it being that expensive 20 years ago 😂

Chanel no 5 eau premier. Discontinued but have found a dupe.

Clean reserve skin. It’s a soft skin scent, salt and vanilla and it’s literally appropriate for every occasion

I'm surprised mine hasn't been mentioned - Liz Earle no.15. Its so spicy and warm. Either that or Clinique Aromatics.

My favourite too. Reminds of my aunt at Christmas when she always had a new bottle. She would dab a little bit on my wrist. Loved it back then and love it now.
