If you were only allowed to have ONE perfume for life which would it be and why?

As title says really. I think mine would be Halfeti because it’s the only one I’ve ever had compliments on.

Matiere Premiere, Vanilla Powder. Pretty vanilla - perfect for summer/holidays

I love Flower. Might have to treat myself - not seen it for years.

I haven’t found my signature scent yet. I thought Halfeti might be it, but I don’t think it’s worth the money and I can’t smell it on myself at all.

Chanel’s Allure - my idea of the perfect perfume. Failing that Chanel No 19.

Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf here too… always have a bottle on the go, it makes me feel happy and cosy.

Had a nice money saving tip recently from a colleague. Find a good dupe, use the real perfume in the morning and top up using the dupe if needed during the day. The Jenny Glow Floral Explosion is pretty good (had someone ask if I was wearing Flowerbomb when I only had that on) and it’s about 1/8 of the price!

Guerlain Insolence. I adore it. Every single time I wear it I get people telling me how great I smell. I just love it.

Another Flowerbomb fan here. Dh bought it for me first back in 2006 or 2007 and I’ve had it a few times since then. Happy memories and reminds me of our first home and when the kids were small.

I came on to say Anais Anais…it’s all I ever wear and it suits me. People often ask what it is and remark that it’s lovely…they are probably expecting something a bit more fancy!

Guerlain Idylle. It's good for day and evening, a bit soapy, a classic kind of perfume. Perfection.

Jo Malone LBM - mentally transports me back to a fantastic holiday a few years ago

Can it be a discontinued one? Vera Wang, Truly Pink. I wore it on my wedding day and loved it.

Kayali Vanilla. I think it’s lovely. I get told I smell like chocolate a lot which I don’t mind at all.

@AllProperTeaIsTheft Do you know where the ‘giver’ of that bottle bought it? Eternity is one of those scents you can sometimes pick up cheaply from places like Amazon, but they are often fake. Clinique Happy is the same; I bought some for my mum and sent it back when I realised it was fake. If suspiciously cheap it often is.
Obviously if it was bought from eg Boots or John Lewis it is probably genuine. Might be worth investigating…

Rive Gauche by YSL . My Dad always bought me a cannister of it for Christmas, so it reminds me of him .

I love YSL’s Libre and get a lot of compliments however I smelt it on someone else recently and didn’t think much of it at all 😂
I love YSL’s Paris and Coco by Chanel but I think Jo Malone’s Cypress and Grapevine might have to be my fave. It’s fresh yet strong enough for day or evening. Masculine, but so sexy.

I adore Gucci Flora, the original one in the hexagonal bottle, but it's no longer produced. I first had a bottle a few years ago, then bought my lovely mum one a couple of years ago. Very sadly, she died last year, very suddenly and unexpectedly, and I'd love to wear 'our' perfume to remember her. Maybe they'll bring it back...
