What was your last bag purchase?

Just for fun (& inspiration as I’m looking for a new work bag!).

My last purchase was the ubiquitous Uniqlo bag in off white corduroy. Aside from a black leather phone bag from The White Company, this is my most used bag at the moment.

I recently bought a big black messenger bag from Lanx and I’m totally in love with it as the quality is amazing. They were a limited edition and have just sold out and now disappeared from the website when I just went to copy the link.

I use it for when I’m out and about and know I need to get some shopping / pick up a Vinted parcel on my way back.

For work I use a big soft red leather tote from Repetto as it fits loads in, from shoes to my Hydroflask of coffee to my notebook etc yet still looks smart.

And then for non-work with no shopping involved, I use my trusty black leather Smythson backpack.

I have a million bags (ok, slight exaggeration but a LOT!) but I mainly rotate these three for daily use.

I was looking for a Mulberry Anthony bag but could not bring myself to pay for one so after months of searching found this.

Superb leather and lovely - only issue is that it doesn't have internal pockets but I can live with that because of the quality of the leather and price difference to the Anthony.

I was considering this one in small as a work bag (I already have black). Do you find it works well as a neutral?

I’m usually quite anti hardware & Strathberry does have quite a lot although in a more interesting way. I do like how feminine a lot of their designs are. I might pop in a shop & have a better look

Now that is a thing of beauty. Absolutely stunning. I’m open to getting a LV for my work bag (I don’t carry much) but my top budget is around £2k otherwise I’d be all over that. Both colours are gorgeous. Love.

I just love green so I make it work. But it actually goes with pretty much everything I wear. I wear a lot of earthy tones.

DD has charcoal and pink

I suppose charcoal is more neutral. It was mine till DD permanently borrowed it

They're not that big so any smaller wouldn't work as a work bag really

I have a backpack and this which I often use simultaneously.

I use separate smaller make up bags to put in make up, electronics, medication that I can easily swap from one bag to another if need be

A red mock croc Mulberry small Darley from a preloved Mulberry site just before my birthday last year (doing the wifework and sorting out my present from DH). I'd wanted one for ages and they just weren't coming up and then it popped up and seemed fated. I don't think the vendor had used it more than a couple of times as it was immaculate.

@KittenPause I have used the black one in small for work & it fits loads. I don’t need to carry a laptop of very much for work so it’s a great size. I wear a lot of navy, black, white & green so the green Le Pliage might make a nice change from black all the time.

@loveawineloveacrisp if you do get an LV what one are you considering? I’m eyeing up the Neonoe in mono or empreinte. Although I’m now also listing after @sageGreen81’s bag 🤦🏻‍♀️

.My last purchase was the same bag as yours but in a green colour.
I paid a fiver for it as I got it from Uniqlo in Tokyo and the exchange rate was good!.

A cream coloured canvas tote bag from a shop in small shopping mall in Japan, bought in April 2024. It has lots of inner pockets and compartments. I think it was the equivalent of about £30. It's my new summer bag so will come out of the cupboard in a few months time and I'll put my winter bag (made of wool felt) away.

This arrived today. I was looking for an everyday bag for spring/summer that can fit wallet, phone, sunglasses, umbrella etc.

I needed a black bag which could be day to night. Love the 2 strap lengths and considering the same bag in brown.

Just got a new tan leather LV Noé MM Bucket Bag, which is just lovely as a daily bag for me. And a new Longchamps large Le Pliage to use for a daily nappy bag. I’ve bought a few of these over the years, they’re excellent.

The Strathberry bags are lovely quality, nice soft leather. I just treated myself to one!

@caffelatte100 which Strathberry did you buy? I like the look of the Mosaic but I think it might be a bit too “ladylike” for my day to day style

I bought the Mosaic in tan with white stitching and it's rally beautiful. Yes, I'd say you're right, it's quite ladylike, though you can wear it in a variety of ways. I had my eye on the Loewe puzzle bag but didn't like the price tag - I saw the bag in a store and it just wasn't worth it quality wise. I actually think this one by Strathberry is nicer.
