Just for fun (& inspiration as I’m looking for a new work bag!).

My last purchase was the ubiquitous Uniqlo bag in off white corduroy. Aside from a black leather phone bag from The White Company, this is my most used bag at the moment.

I have no LV at all but have been mulling a Pochette Metis. I gather they were all the rage some years ago and this is typical of me - I don't want anything when it's 'on trend', I don't do it with any real intent but I seem to wait until it either dies a death or becomes a classic. I'm less 'behind the curve' and more like 'downright contrary' 😀

I don't tend to buy a lot of bags generally - I have three very classic Chanels which I use whenever I'm out and about in cities and not slouching around wfh and usually have something like a plain John Lewis number on the go for when I'm popping into my local town. I had a Barbour bag over last winter the handle of which unexpectedly died a death (and Barbour have been appalling in their response) so I've been in the market for something else. I picked up a navy Lacoste camera bag at Cheshire Oaks recently which was around 70% off.

And this in the black, which I first saw on the M&S website for full price but tracked down from Jones direct 50% off. It was a real saga to get hold of (the first arrived damaged, the replacement got lost...) so Jones refunded me an extra 20%, making it £36 down from £89 (it's not a clutch, that's a mistake on Jones' website):

Ah! Can I ask which you have? I've been thinking either the classic monogram or the reverse monogram. I gather the reverse has darker leather on the handle and the clasp which marks less easily. It doesn't look to be terribly adjustable but perhaps I'm wrong on the strap length. I also gather the clasp scratches quite a lot, I never use hardware protectors but I'm wondering if they might be an idea in this instance. I'm in London in a fortnight so I'll go have a look in LV.

@GalaxyWasOnOffer I have the classic. I've used it a lot and it's pretty bomb proof. I like the reverse but I felt like I might go off it. Strap length is good, I'm not skinny and can wear cross-body.

I must say I thought it looked pretty hardy, I've watched a few YouTube videos with people who've had theirs for years and the bags look to have really stood the test of time. I don't have any bags in brown or neutral and yet I seem to be increasingly drawn to those colours in clothes, but I can't stand pattern in clothing so thought a patterned bag may be the way to go for the first time ever!

Not in the same sphere as a lot of these but I'm still in the changing bag territory and wanted to downsize from the huge storksak bag.

I was ordering a new holdall for swimming and bought this at the same time. I've been on the lookout for a cheap backpack which can get battered and has just enough room for the many essentials, but one which doesn't have shit looking 'leather'. Really pleased.

Coach Willow, really like it. Ordered it from Australia as it was much cheaper.

Not sure this would be best for a work bag but it is the last one I purchased. I use the Uniqlo bag in tan for day-to-day errands, and a coach tote bag for work.

I bought DD a Roka Tote bag ( not a Roka Lucky Dip ) Trafalgar Tote on Ash (I got a Key Worker discount ) . She didn't like it so I was given it .
I was using a Next laptop/tote bag but it was too soft'n'floppy so I've put that away for hand luggage and use the Roka .

I've got this one from Jigsaw. It's gorgeous and very practical. I love it.

I’m terrible. I picked this brown Kassandre from tkmaxx for £50. Went there for a frying pan.
Also, I got myself the Santorini because despite my illness and possible lack of sunny holidays, I still dream of summer warm days of linen dresses and straw bags. Going to TK Maxx for a frying pan & coming out with something completely the opposite is perfectly normal in my world. I went in there for a baking tray & came out with sneaker socks the other day 😀

I bought a fabulous basket bag last year from a small deli where my mum lives! It’s a French shopping basket, has long and short leather handles and is the perfect size for work, beach, shopping…

I can’t wait to use it again!
