Just for fun (& inspiration as I’m looking for a new work bag!).

My last purchase was the ubiquitous Uniqlo bag in off white corduroy. Aside from a black leather phone bag from The White Company, this is my most used bag at the moment.

DH bought me a dark green one for Christmas (outlet store obvs) & I love it. So heavy & capacious, each time i use it feels like An Occasion!

A large Roka Finchley in teal blue for work

I'm on my fourth handbag since 1972. My mother bought the first for me at an Ideal Home Exhibition when I was a teenager.

The only one I bought for myself (bag 2) would have been in the 1990s. It was virtually a carbon copy of bag 1. I still have it, though I've had to replace the shoulder strap, but it hasn't been used for years.

I changed style about 15 years ago when I started using a tablet instead of a laptop (which needed an additional bag if I wished to transport it). Gave DH the job of finding me a suitable one which would take the tablet. It was great.
It wore out about 2 years ago and he's managed to buy me an identical replacement.

If I don't need to carry the tablet I use my pockets or DH carries all the stuff.

@happytobemrsg DH got me the big version for my birthday last year for work too. It’s gorgeous and so durable/practical - feels like it will last forever!

This, from a National Trust shop. Small, very light cross-body, plenty of pockets for everything if I’m just going food shopping, or for the sort of walk where we’re likely to stop for coffee/a pub drink. I love it, but if they did the same in e.g. purple or bright green leather I’d buy one of those, too.

Lacoste navy tote - I'd seen this season's version for £105 on Regent Street but picked up last season's virtually identical bag for £49 at Bicester.

Previous to this it was two shoulder bags, one black and one navy, from Galeries Lafayette. One was half price and one 70% off in the sale - and they were not that expensive to begin with - but the moment of buying them was pure joy.

Pom pom London city bag. It's slate blue and you can chose different straps. After buying countless bags over the years,this one is the perfect size for my kindle etc. I'm going to get the same in different colours 🥰

Coach 'willow' bag. Bought ut from an Australian website "cettire". It was a hell of a lot cheaper than anywhere in UK.

I rarely buy bags, just use the same old ones all the time - black Ralph Lauren tote bag for work, burgundy Radley croc leather handbag in winter and a little handbag that I bought similar to yours last year OP, same size and shape except it’s Levi’s and is cream denim which I love to use as a little summer handbag. Used to only ever wear cross-body bags but prefer shoulder bags these days… must be part of aging lol

I like the idea of having a winter/autumn bag & a spring/summer bag. My problem is I’ve decided I don’t want to settle. I want to LOVE it whatever the price. I seem to be getting quite fussy.

I actually have to change my first answer as I just realised I bought this bag from Zara for only £35 a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it (& I get compliments when I wear it) but it’s deceptively small & can’t close with my kindle & umbrella inside (essentials for work) so it’s just for casual. It’s not for everyone (DH hates it) but it adds interest to my plain outfits. If it could fit everything then I’d happily use this for work!

I wish there was a company which could just make me a bag to my specifications….

@bendmeoverbackwards I got the larger one which is just called Mosaic rather than the Nano. It's a great size. It's not massive.
They often have 20% so I got mine on quite a good deal. I got the
Bottle Green one. I did order the navy too which was lovely
