My engagement ring arrived this morning and I'm so in love with it, can I see yours?

Oh @IlovePond I'm so sorry to hear that about your ring. I actually haven't seen the nine stone version before and didn't realise mine was rarer. I think both are beautiful though.

I do worry about what would happen if I lost a stone. I wanted vintage or antique just because I think even when they're smaller the diamonds are still so pretty but I worry it could get ruined if I had to have it fixed.

We were actually really lucky on costs with it. I don't mind saying but it only cost us around £120, will be 10 years this year since we got engaged so I think we did well really.

It was a complete surprise and I still love it many years later

My sapphire engagement ring is not a million miles from yours in shape and I found a wishbone shaped wedding ring sat nicely against it. The other ring is an antique gold and aquamarine which DH got me instead of an eternity ring.

You did very well @Tarkan - yours is beautiful. I bought my nine stone version - really nice but not ‘mine’, (if you know what I mean!) reasonably priced in the Lanes in Brighton, but they’ve got much more expensive recently.

I just had a google and found a seven stoner on eBay for almost £1400, (which I cannot justify😿). Of course, when I was looking, it was all nine stone rings that I was finding!

Personally I prefer antique rings, but my actual engagement ring is a ‘modern’ one with a teeny tiny diamond, as money was very tight!

Mine is similar to yours and I love our rings. Also mid 2000’s. My wedding ring wasn’t what I went in for. Originally wanted a plain wedding band but the lady in the shop brought out the diamond band and I fell in love. We blew our ring budget but to this day I don’t regret it. Would love an eternity ring to match and wear on the other side of my wedding ring but husband is still to take the hint 18 years and a child later 🤣

So haven’t got it yet (he knew me too well than to buy one without my input!) but this is the one I’m going for.

So many beautiful rings 💍 mine is platinum with a pearl shaped 1 carat diamond. My wedding ring has scattered diamonds in it.

I love mine, we looked all along Hatton Gardens and I got more and more allergic to the pressure tactics, crosser and crosser, til at end of the street I spotted this quartz one in the window of an inexpensive chain jewellery shop and it suited my hand better than any of the expensive ones 😂

I didn’t add any details but essentially platinum band, with 4 diamonds probably not totalling more than 1ct combined. But also with a series of tiny diamonds the band either side, it’s only got a very narrow band about 1.5mm max hence why the diamonds are even tinier. It feels more like a piece of art given the intricacy involved by whoever made it.

This is the same as mine. I still love it. Didn't realise it was unfashionable now though. But I have had it a long, long time!

Here's a random pic of mine. The middle band is engagement and the outer 2 are an "enhancer" that are joined/soldered to the engagement ring to create the entire wedding set.

Here's mine it needs a good clean 🫧 it did have a beautiful fire opal but I dropped it so now has a sapphire.
It's Art deco and we had the wedding ring made to match it.

Solitaire here, but in a setting you don't see often (no idea what it's called)!

Whatever it is, it's a bugger to wear a wedding ring against, but I love it.
