My engagement ring arrived this morning and I'm so in love with it, can I see yours?

@space99 thank you! I now feel like I need to clean it because it looks so sparkly in this photo which is from a while ago! The surround stones are small diamonds, aquamarine and sapphires. The Alexandrite is green in certain lights but it's hard to photograph. I do love it.

Thank you.I'm 60 this year and decided that I needed to embrace the biab nails thing. I am absolutely addicted to them now . These are my third set. I'm trying something new each month. Found a local salon where they do such a fabulous job.

@ThisIsMyYearToFindMyself - I actually don't know if there's a proper name for it. DH knew I loved Art Deco so he started looking for me. I think when we were looking together after that we just looked for Art Deco diamond rings or something like that. Maybe add art deco or 1920s to your search? We didn't have daisy in our search but that might still help narrow it down as you get a lot of square/rectangular Art Deco rings too. I have seen some similar ones since so I know it's not unique at least!

Mine is sapphire and diamond. I love it, but it's a bit loose now as I've lost weight and more to lose, so will need to have it made smaller at some point.

Mark 11 as my original was stolen in a burglary 😪....but have come to live this ring. My original was ruby and diamond but a different design. I chose ruby bc it's my birthstone

Solitaire in white gold and an eternity band instead of a wedding ring. Like a PP, we went ring shopping at the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. Going strong since 2007, although they could do with resizing now, as I'm struggling to keep them from sliding off when my hands are cold.

@Tarkan - your seven stone daisy ring is beautiful - I had one just like it that was inherited. I wore it every day for years until a stone fell out.

I took it to a supposedly reputable independent jeweller and he not only lost the original stone, plus another one, but replaced both with modern ones - and the ring was horribly misshapen and ruined beyond repair.. Unbelievably I actually paid for the damage.

I have tried to find a replacement but the nine stone versions were more common, (so that is what I bought to replace mine).

Yours made me happy to see one in perfect condition, (but sad when I thought of mine that was ruined). It’s inspired me to have another look for a seven stone version, but buying one would be a bit extravagant.

(I tried to get the original ring made into a pendant, but that was cocked up too😿)

Here’s mine. Engagement ring and wedding ring on the left, but I secretly always wanted something more antique looking, so I just bought what I love (the diamond and sapphire) and wear it on the right hand side. When I get more money, I’ll upgrade it to a more blue sapphire as it’s a bit black. But I bought it from an antique fair for £180 8 years ago.

My engagement ring will be 40 years old in march!
i don’t wear it as often as I used to due to working in care

Here's mine. 0.3 carat platinum engagement ring and white gold wedding band. Both desperately in need of a clean and my wedding band is also in need of re-plating.

The only thing I regret is not getting a platinum wedding band...would be far easier to not have to get it replated every few years!
