Dh then bought me another ring after twenty years which is 18k gold emerald surrounded by diamonds

My original engagement ring that I'd had for over 10 years broke whilst I was pregnant with my little boy so we replaced it with this one after he was born as it's his birthstone 🥰

Why is it such a big secret?

My original engagement ring band thinned & went sharp after 30+ years. It was a diamond solitaire with diamond set shoulders. I loved it.
My dh bought a replacement one mothers day. Pink sapphires & diamonds.

French, 1890's, platinum band with hearts in the basket, just over 2ct

Here is mine. 28 years so quite dated.

White gold, aquamarine and diamond and worn on right hand, as short space between finger base and knuckle means wedding band doesn't allow space for two rings! Picked by DH, from a ring I'd seen previously and hints dropped.

Love that, unusual stone. I'm planning on swapping mine to my right hand after the wedding because I've already picked my band (tungsten with a crushed opal inlay) and they won't sit well together.

I also wear my engagement ring on my right hand - partly small hands so I don't have space for two rings but I also personally prefer the way it looks and feels - but people often seem surprised by it

I was going to send mine but I am honestly so grossed out by the close up of my granny-hand I have just nipped off to find hand cream!
