My engagement ring arrived this morning and I'm so in love with it, can I see yours?

Lovely. Mine is almost identical but blue sapphire stone.

Mine is green tourmaline (though there are diamonds around the base of the setting which you can’t really see). Dh and I used to live in Asia and we bought the stone at a gem market in Sri Lanka when travelling. He had it made into a ring by a jeweller once we got back home. I love it. I’ve worn it every day since and it’s been 15 years now.

Ooo ring twins! I have the same, DH also chose on his own and did very well! It's perfect for me, I wanted simple but love that he chose a twist which makes it special.

I really can’t stand the look of two (or more) rings on one finger so yea make full use of my right hand too!
I sometimes wear engagement ring, or one of my wedding rings (only one DH but have a few wedding rings), or dress rings, or naked fingers, whatever I feel like on the day. I don’t like the feel of jewellery on in bed.

Congratulations OP! Love your ring, I inherited an Australian opal ring from my granny, the stones were brought back from Australia by my grandpa, who was a metallurgist.

I took so long to choose my ring I almost didn’t have one in time for my wedding 🤣

Here is mine. I was widowed young (29) and it was a very challenging thing for me to have another ring- needed to be so different. Over 30 years and I still love it ❤️

@Ohdeardarling it's stunning isn't it! I said to him if there was 1000 rings in the shop I would've chosen that one! It's stunning, the twist shows off the diamond which is superb quality, he had studied the GIA scores etc and assures me it's a good un....just like me 🥰 I got it cleaned by Rox recently and it came up like brand new love it!! My husband surprised me with mine on the top of a Scottish mountain! It's still so sparkly, you just have to ignore the absolute state of my nails - I was doing some mulching in the garden today 😅

It's a yellow sapphire with little diamonds on it. My now DH and I went shopping together. The jeweller showed me this ring but in white gold with a peridot. At first I really didn't like it, but as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one. We ordered my ring there and then, and a year later my DH proposed 😆

Thank you. It's 3 carats, M coloured, but faces up quite white. If I ever replaced it, I'd go for an even lower colour.

I'm a fourth generation sapphire wearer and am so thankful my fiance took note of the tradition! This is my sapphire and diamond engagement ring with white gold. I am a paramedic UK so sadly cannot wear daily. I have a plain band for when I work but wishbone shaped to fit the stone.

Discuss it with a good jeweler, I had a similar problem and they custom made a wedding band that ran underneath the stones and sat snugly alongside the engagement ring band

Lovely ring OP, and unusual.

Mine is a pre loved 1920s ring from a jewellers in Brighton and the wedding band is made from melted down wedding rings and engraved to match the style of the engagement ring.

Beautiful rings!! Love seeing them all with wedding bands too for inspiration, torn between a plain band or a band matching engagement.

DP chose and very pleased! Classic diamond and platinum. Marrying this year. It definitely needs a clean now that picture was day one…

bought it myself because I liked it ring.

They live on my hand, rarely cleaned. Never taken off, I couldn’t be responsible for a ring that required minding.
Must get them cleaned after seeing this thread!

Well taking photos has made me realise how much my rings need to go to the jewellers for a polish! 😆
Mines an oval diamond set sideways into a yellow gold band. I love that because the mount on grasps it on two sides, when I look down at it a can see the full profile of the diamond.
