As predicted I caved and got the space nk edit too! I’m excited to receive it. I used up my credit which made it less painful but I’m on a no buy now. I had a recent birthday so justified it as a gift to myself (including the other two orders I did for skincare/fragrance.. oops) I did a huge stock take of all my cosmetics today and fair to say I’m pretty set. Went through all my tiny samples and there’s a few there I’d forgotten all about. Family members did well from me and lots posted on Vinted so I don’t feel toooo bad..

I have opened my 3 cult beauty edits and I'm not disappointed!

Out of my little haul I'm keeping the nest vanilla bourbon, possibly the nest indigo, the escentric molecules guaiac wood and the commodity moss definitely. will see what sells of the others. Not a fugazzi fan and don't think I'll like commodity paper. Commodity milk sounds ok but the milk plus gave me a headache. Not a massive Vyrao fan. Will try all the little samples too. All in all I'm glad I purchased!

My CB set has arrived. Just got in from work though and am back in first thing in the morning so probably won't open it properly until at least tomorrow evening. Nice to hear everyone's thoughts on the sets though.

Thank you, I think CB listed this as 1.7ml and I was trying to work out how they got their value. It now adds up if this is 8ml.

I might be coming a little obsessed with guaiac wood. Didn't realize it's the same thing as palo santo. Matiere premiere use it in bois debene. It's one of those 'can't stop sniffing ' addictive ingredients, for me anyway. Not usually massively into escentric molecules but liking the 01 + guaiac

Just found this thread so forgive me if this has been asked somewhere that I haven’t yet seen. Years (and I mean years!) ago I used to wear and really love Burberry Brit. I’m not convinced that I wouldn’t have grown out of it as I matured but I’m curious whether there’s anything similar that I could try given that it’s not available anyway. Thanks

Scent of the day is nest vanilla bourbon. This could give vanilla 28 a run for it's money. A boozy deep vanilla although it's not that sophisticated. Sometimes that's what you need!

Tried the fugazzi vanilla from the cb set and wasn't impressed. I find fugazzi quite brash and loud, like the opposite of byredo. My daughter liked it tho, said it smelled of sweets.

The CB edits are such a good deal that I bought some more to sell on using the TREAT20 code which takes 20% off. Anyone thinking about getting these, don't hesitate! Amazing value for £28 - some of the 8 or 10ml sizes are worth that alone.

I had fugazzi discovery set at home with heavy discount for full bottle and not a single person, remotely liked a single perfume. My son literally said - who thought that this smells good enough to put in bottle in try to sell to people. This was before last few they released, maybe they are better and of course it is personal. but I have no interest in the brand.

I have tried good few from the Cult beauty sets
From the sweet and sophisticated - I wouldn't mind trying vanilla bourbon
I have tried and did not like Varyo 00, commodity milk expressive, kayali vanilla 28
Afternoon delight didn't get good reviews, and with so many replica counters nearby I can test it easily
Creed Wind Flowers - I can test in store easily too

Fresh and fruity - I would have been most interested if I didn't have few already
Nest Indigo - would like to try
Jo by Jo Loves - have travel and don't need second
Moss Expressive - I have 30ml, similar to Le Labo Bergamote 22 but not as lasting. I like it but don't need anymore
Varyao Sixt and Molecule +Mandarine - I wouldn't mind having
Samples I would like to try 2 out of 4 - not interested in Fugazzi and Sana Jardin.

@MiaN agree on the Space NK. I also looked at fragrantica reviews of some of the new releases and they confirmed my decision not to buy it, especially as very few are my sort of scent, even with good reviews.

Not had any Fugazzi’s I’ve particularly liked either. I think Nest is a Hut Group brand - this is why it features in the CB edits and I would not expect much sophistication.

Yesterday’s PDM Valaya lasted a long time - but with that sweet musky dry down that Delina also has and which I find just okay. Definitely not one on my buy list.

SOTD is Ex Nihilo Brompton Immortals from the 2022 Harrods fragrance calendar. Really enjoy this, but it is decidedly not office friendly.

Cote d'Azur Oribe for me today. Expect nothing but beach vibe from me in the upcoming days and even weeks.

Space NK seem to go for the 'easy crowd pleasers' with the skin scents (dedcool/glossier etc) which aren't really my thing but I'm happy with that as they will sell easy and I won't be tempted to keep. So long as there are at least 3 in the set that I fancy for myself then it's worth it for me.

Nest I haven't tried much before - sometimes you want a nice easy scent - I like the idea of the oil rollerball rather than spray but I'm not a massive coconut fan so will be listing the balinese coconut.
Expecting some more promos before 'world fragrance day' on Friday - not sure I need any more temptation.

Afternoon delight from Maison Margiela I do quite like but boy is it sweet! If you like the idea of smelling like a bakery it's very photorealistic- but a sample is fine for me, no hankering after any more. Like the cake it is supposed to represent, too much would be sickly .

I tried rosee lychee nest - I see it being popular with fruity rose fans. Not for me, I have few samples and will use them in the bathroom when taking bath - I will enjoy the happy vibe but not as perfume I want to wear. Fresh Lily Jasmine and Oribe Valley of flowers - flowers are tricky aren't they, this is a no but will try to use them up in spare bathroom. Oribe desertland (pencil shavings) I am just not into this DNA. Thameen Patalia - with so many perfumes I love, there is little chance of me wanting to wear something that I kind of find ok. The whole discovery set of floral street - apart from Arizona Bloom I don't want any of them.

Few I enjoyed and I will take with me while away - Cote D'Azure Oribe an Dean Street Ouai, however the second one is so light and fleening - it has no chance of ending on wish list.

I loved how my winter setup was very on point for me. I had variety, not a lot of repetition and I knew why I am keeping each perfume I have.

For the spring summer - I am all over the place. I went trough some perfumes I won't use and I really dislike and couldn't sell - they will be refreshing the brown bin. Sample declutter challenge for April. It is fun something to shop what you already have!

This is exactly why I have resolved never to buy full bottles @MiaN ! I'm far too fickle and even when I fall in love with a scent my tastes change from season to season and year to year. There have been perfumes I've bought several samples of, mainly from perfumista, and do think why don't I get a bottle - but I'm honestly better off just getting more of the bigger samples and the upside is they are usually quite portable so I can take them with me. I'm not sure I've ever actually finished a full bottle in my life - mumbai noise I have about 15% left but I don't reach for it so much these days.

Luckily I'm not someone who cares that much about what the bottle looks like and lots of the niche houses seem to go for the simple bottle look (matiere premier, malle) so I'm happy with my 10ml test tube sprays.

Very happy with my Dior Beauty order (foundation and foundation stick). They send me two samples - one of their latest perfume Bois Talisman and Gris Dior - one of the best sellers of that line. Also two 10ml travel sizes - Ambre Nuit and Bois D'Argent. And most surprisingly I like them all.

Scent of the evening(?) is Diptyque eau capitale. My tastes have changed a lot recently and I find I really like rose in fragrances. This one I discovered recently as it was in the back of my perfume samples pile but I’ve decided I now like it. Unlikely to purchase full size but happily will use it up

Today was Amarige by Givenchy. I love this old powerhouse.

Dior Ambre Nuit is so smooth, I can't stop smelling my wrist. It's very elegant, beatufly blended, love at first sniff. I wish I can smell it next to Prada Amber which I used to have and I don't clearly remember but for some reason it makes me think it had some similarity.

I am looking forwartd using the travel. I feel longevity could be an issue

Little nostalgic for me, perfumey well blended but so smooth initial impressions - this is special. I use it in colder weather or evenings.
