I am seeing these in store and online in various retailers and think it could be a good weight for spring and different to the usual rain coat or denim jacket.
i saw a young woman wearing similar with wider leg jeans, suited her .

I think these look like an old fashioned bed jacket.

East have several very nice versions but a bit more expensive than M&S.

I did see a nice green one in fat face the other day!

I didn’t end up getting it (I couldn't justify another jacket!) but I was with my gen Z colleague, who definitely liked the style and said it wasn’t granny-ish (I’m still not 100% convinced though..)

Yes, this is very on trend. Love these.

Grammarnut · 03/03/2025 08:45

Yes, these are in. M and S have them, and Next (rather nice wine coloured one I fancy - c. £60+ from Fat Face). Wearable over a summer dress as a light coat (informal) or over jeans and a well-fitting top - I wouldn't wear wide-legged jeans, though, but straight cut.

I don't like them at all. Mind, I follow my own weird style! ;-)

Curryingfavour · 05/03/2025 23:11

I ended up searching and got myself a quilted denim jacket which is more wearable for me .
Good as it was on Brakeburn website reduced from £80ish to £25 .

As per my last post, we were in Amsterdam last week and Dd found the shop they were in, they were lovely, reversible, fitted and nice on both sides. She, 20s, size ten had to get a large and looked gorgeous. Me, 60s, size 20 couldn’t fit in a 4xl and looked like I was buying bulbs and seedlings.
