Am I the only one who loses the ability to buy clothes once the sun has come out ??

I am shite at buying summer clothes. I have a HUGE mental block on it.

Went out today wearing a grey spotty t'shirt and jeans with white ballet pumps and I felt like a right frump.

Winter clothes I can do, summer clothes no, I don't know what to buy, what suits me or what to avoid.

Rather overly blessed in the norkage dept!-32gg ,and 6ft tall.Like to wear dresses and had a fab empire line, long sundress from Asda 3 years ago but can find nothing similar. Also love lien pants but tshirts make me look like dolly parton and blouses with buttons often gape.HEEEELP!

MrsBadger · 07/05/2008 15:06

I love summer clothes shopping! Went shopping this morning (this is literally the nicest day, ever) and spent about £600 on lovely summer clothes, shoes and bags.. I love the summer..

The weather totally puts me in the mood for summery buying!

I went to the charity shop yesterday and came out with 2 tops and a pait of almost brand new cut of stretchtype trousers in white.

Eveb ny very conservative mum thinks it looks very fresh and nice

It cost me £5 for the lot

mimibel52 · 09/05/2008 10:07

Well I am so glad I am not alone. I love the sunshine and summer but I hate the clothes now. I do not have enough money to buy a whole new wardrobe each year and coats can hide a lot. My belly is huge and all summer clothes just emphasis it. My boobs are non-existent so ditto. Cant afford a tummy tuck or a boob job - would be too embarrased to see Gok Wan and he probably couldnt do anything for me anyway. It takes me about half an hour to choose something for the school run and then its always the same ! jeans and a baggy top! Help too please.

Gobbledigook, I bought those Boden shoes and they are really really slim fitting. Could only get my hoof about a quarter of the way into them (and I don't think I've got particulaly wide feet). Was bitterly disappointed! Let me know your experience!

I just live in converse trainers, black in the winter, white in the summer. So comfortable for those walks in the park and go with practically anything. Even if they don't, they're slightly rock chic so I don't care!
