For me, a gorgeous metallic bronze shadow and liner from Miss Selfridge. I think it was called Iron Lady?

Clinique City Block - the gold one that had a slight sheen to it. LOVED it.

Also a Dior rinse-off cleanser that came in a pale pink bottle. Can't remember the name, but it was lovely.

And Laura Biagiotti Venezia!

Anyone else?

A perfume from Miss Selfridge I bought in 1993 called Soft Touch
I got so many compliments on it, but no one else has ever heard of it :(

Impulse Jeunesse body spray (1980s)

I had a lovely black long line waistcoat with silver buttons from bay trading in the early 90s. Wore it for years until the back got ripped :(

My beloved saxone black leather chunky sling back platform shoes. SO comfy! I wore them until the disintegrated

Sigh

It was called Soft Talk.
I still have a bottle!!!!!!! I’ll never part with it. It takes me right back to being a teenager.
It was £4.60, iirc.
I’ll take a pic tomorrow.

They also had one called XX1, for their 21st birthday.
it was quite sweet/spicy.

Actual 00’s make up

I have some of these. And one of the palettes.

@Randomontheinternet25 I had heard that but my local one didn't have it... will try again though.

Does it smell the same do you know?

I can confirm it smells the exact same!! It’s divine. There are 2 different ones though so make sure you smell them first, you will instantly know which one it is!

( trying to remember the colour of the bottle without going upstairs to find out and I think it’s a white bottle for shampoo and a yellow one for conditioner )

BatshitCrazyWoman · 03/01/2025 04:56

Probably more mid -70s, but Lemon Delph cleanser and toner. Oh, and Anne French cleanser. Henara treatment wax hair conditioner. Boots green hair gel (definitely the smell of my late teens!).

Tribe perfume.
Boots mango bath oil.
A two-tone blue and green bath oil made by I -can't-remember, it came in a opaque glass bottle.
Boots marshmallow lip balm.

In fact, any of the Boots Natural Collection gift sets!

When I read ‘tribe perfume’ I could remember the smell - first time I’ve thought about it in about 25 years!

Itsallgonesideways · 03/01/2025 06:41

I've got a psir of strappy mid heels from Ravels shoes circa 1994!

CatsForLife · 03/01/2025 06:58

Dewberry from the Body Shop - keeping hoping they’ll bring it back. Flex shampoo, and I was partial to a bit of the original Wasg and Go - just want to smell it for a nostalgia trip really!

Shocked. I live in the US now so I hadn't heard about this! A google tells me this happened in 2023. I was home then over the summer, could have got some. Out of touch lol

Soft Talk!! That's it!! That's the perfume I mentioned up thread and have spent about 20 years trying to remember its name 😀

Oh the smell of my student days... 😊😊

Gowlett · 03/01/2025 09:53

Used to get through so much John Frieda Frizz Ease.
Blow-dry, hair straighteners, then a good slick of that.

Loved Benetton, too. My fave places to shop were Brent Cross, High Street Ken, Selfridges, basement House Of Fraser Oxford St. Neal St, Carnaby St. Topshop Oxford St, Bluewater.

It’s the absolute best!
I started buying it when I was about 15, back in 1984. I had very little money so it was a real treat.
Just takes me back to being a teenager.
Good times.

I could get a little atomiser and send you some, if you’d like?

I've got a psir of strappy mid heels from Ravels shoes circa 1994!

I’ve got at least a couple of pairs of ravel shoes. Beautiful red beaded ones that I can’t wear now. And red and white polka dot kitten heels.

XxSideshowAuntSallyx · 03/01/2025 10:04

Almost Bare perfume by Bobbi Brown

Pantene Curl shampoo and conditioner and also Kerestase Oleo Curl . The new stuff just isn't as good. I find they seem to clump all curly hair together with afro or wavy these days, when it's all different.

Monsoon perfume!

I miss this so much! Gorgeous starry blue / green / purpley bottle was my fav

PickledOwl1 · 03/01/2025 10:49

@Gatekeeper I started that thread. And it was Sunsilk Eau de Parfum shampoo. And sadly, Unilever won't bring it back Grin

The rotters!!!

MoSalahsBeard · 03/01/2025 11:23

Body Shop dewberry body spray
Boots Natural Collection body stuff. The cow selection was lovely! It was all white packaging and I had a bubble bath that smelt of vanilla milkshake. And they did a pink Japanese shampoo at one point that gave me silky, shiny hair.
So perfume
spending hours rifling through Boots on a Saturday
cosmetics to go- which became lush

pottypotamus · 03/01/2025 11:43

Hot Couture by Givenchy

Darklane · 03/01/2025 15:53

Boots Mediterranean skin care range
Shwartzkopf leave in conditioner
Mary Quant make up
The big wind up sticks of Revlon blusher
Clinique small silver compact that contained just a grey eyeshadow & darker grey solid liner, can’t remember the name.
Ecusson by Jean D’Albret perfume…heavenly
The Max Factor perfumes, Hypnotique, Electrique & Primitif.
Estee Lauder Pink Champagne lipstick
Bourjois Beach Peach
Revlon Intimate perfume
Chanel No5 spray on after bath skin oil, in fact lots of their discontinued bath range.
Pifco hairdryers, I still have one that must be 40+ years old & still working perfectly.
Single matte pale cream powder shadows that many did but can’t find anywhere now apart from Mac at a stupid price, & they’re a fraction of the size they used to be.

Wishona · 03/01/2025 16:48

Henara shampoo and conditioner.
Neutrogena shower gel.

Petrine · 03/01/2025 17:12

TheYearOfSmallThings · 02/01/2025 16:02

Sadly it isn't Eden I like, it is Eau d'Eden - introduced in the 90s as a flanker, but a completely different fragrance.

I will definitely try the Floris perfume recommended by a previous poster as similar🤞

Edited

Eden is till available - the green non transparent bottle. I bought a bottle last year on Amazon.

Arraminta · 03/01/2025 18:45

Clinique Sheer Tint in 'Blonde'
Nicky Clarke's Hairomatherapy Shampoo & Conditioner
Body Shop Japanese Washing Grains

But most importantly, Laura Ashley's L'Eau perfume. Loved it so much. Came close to paying silly money for a bottle of it on eBay. But it would have been over 20 years old!
