I have set up a new Toastie thread, guys.

Yes, that’s the one I have @AmethystMoonShine , it’s fab.

I was wanting that in the sale, but lucked out - it was gone when I got in there.

Finally unpacked my Toast box last night. I think I will be keeping:

• Loop back jersey trousers in charcoal and puck
• Loop back jersey sweater in shell (already have the charcoal, and puck was sold out)
• Etched linen dress
• Etched linen bag
• Cotton linen sweater in parchment
• Batik dot print top
• Minako trousers
• Indigo cotton twill barrel leg trousets
• Alpaca wool stripe sweater ecru/charcoal
• Floral trellis nightdress in blueberry (always use them as summer dresses)
• Stripe cotton jersey shirt grey/sand
• Organic cord bag dusty blue
• Organic cord wrap dress in seaweed
• Lyocell linen herringbone dress in basalt

The rest of my order will go back. Some of the stuff was unfortunatetly too small.

I love silk velvet, so had the square neck dress in obsidian, which is a really lovely colour - but this one was totally disgusting, having something spilled on it, looking like gravy spots. Sometimes I wonder if Toast has no quality control at all, when it comes to yucky items that are returned...

I have this dress. I have been wearing it with my pumpkin Mira sweater and woollen neck scarf the same colour as the sweater, putting leggings under out of sight. The weather until now has been relatively mild. It’s such a comfortable dress.

Fingers crossed one might pop back up from a return 🤞🏼

Oh that sounds like a nice combo @Countmeout, I wouldn’t have thought of that sort of colour with it. I must play around a bit and see what I have that might look unexpectedly good. It’s a good shape for layering sweaters over I think, not all dresses are.

I bought that dress full price @AmethystMoonShine - it’s actually still hanging unworn in my overflow wardrobe. Not sure why I’ve never worn it, I think I’ll look at the layering options from @Countmeout as it is a lovely dress.

I have to confess I was inspired by Graham Street blog.

The orange cotton square in the sale is lovely with it too.

I do think that Toast ought to create a special Kindred International membership category with you as the inaugural member.

Happy New Year fellow Toasties! I am mostly a lurker here, but always enjoying reading about purchases and style advice. I would be grateful for advice re Toast Solovair Mary Jane shoes. They have been produced in black, olive and finally cordovan. I finally took a plunge this Christmas. They look great, but do dig in at the front. Do any of you have these shoes? How much wearing do they need to break them in? Thanks in advance ☺️

I returned three parcels to store this morning, but weirdly I only received return/refund confirmations for two of them. When I look at my account the other order does say “partially refunded” though, so it looks like it might have gone through. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Yes it has, @ScottishMouse - with a partial refund - it’s annoying as it doesn’t say what/how much was refunded on your account!

So you didn’t get an email confirmation @IlovePond but it was as refunded to your card fine?

I didn’t get an email @ScottishMouse - they don’t seem very geared up for partial refunds. I think the first time it happened I rang CS.

Tbh, I always watch Toast like a hawk with refunds, because they make mistakes quite often, so it may be worth giving them a ring of at least making a note to check your cc.

Thanks @IlovePond i have just emailed CS. The other returns were also partial and I got emails fine for them, so it’s a bit of a mystery.

In other weird refund activity, I have had two refunds in the last while that were 1p short, so refunding me £xx.99 instead of a round number of pounds. Very odd.

The onyx dress looks lovely @ScottishMouse and it’s making me regret dithering and not trying it myself. I do find this thread engaging, and despite the moans about Toast from time to time I think it makes me more devoted to the brand and more disposed to trying things out of my comfort zone. I’m making tentative steps towards the barrel leg..

A combination of this thread and the reviews on the website really help engage me with clothes. I think fashion should be slow and fun.
I haven't stopped wearing my pinafore, pleased to see other people enjoying their sale shopping.
Write your reviews everyone, I do read them. (And it reminds me when I've already tried something).

@ScottishMouse - do you remember discussions on the thread 18 months or so ago about a 1p shortfall? It was happening a lot. There was a lot of speculation about why it was happening and what Toast were playing at.

I am disappointed to hear it’s happening again.

I would speak to CS tomorrow, (I find char/email not very helpful).

Oh yes, now that you say it @IlovePond i do remember that. One of the 1p shortfall refunds was done in store today, which makes it even weirder.
nice had a few refunds in the past that are really short - like they have not refunded all the items I sent back - they have always sorted that immediately, but yes, I always keep a close eye.

My cotton/wool herringbone pull on trousers have arrived. I really like them, I'm slightly concerned that they are quite loose on the waist and may get looser with wear, but I think I'll risk it.
I need to put some unworn items on eBay, but I hate the whole process of selling, I'm aiming to do it by the end of the week.

@ScottishMouse The onyx is really lovely, honestly don’t think you should be worried about stripe matching .

My only keeper is the Brown Slate dungarees which make me very happy.
I ordered a dress and a shirt in the Cosmic pattern, order still unfulfilled and both pieces have disappeared from the site.
Has anyone else ordered or received them ?

I ordered the cosmic dot dress @OftenOrange , it should arrive tomorrow. I wouldn’t worry about unfulfilled orders and the items disappearing though, this happened with a few of my sale orders and they arrived fine. Fingers crossed yours will be on the way soon and will be winners.

Any ideas of when final reductions will be applied?

I asked CS yesterday when on the phone about the gravy-filled silk velvet dress I had received. The woman there claimed that CS didn't know, and only knew that sales would be over some time between 22nd 28th of January
