Still here, thanks @IlovePond

I staggered into my local T with a 100% return of a very large sale order, staff put it through in quick sticks.
While there I honed in on the super expensive stripy tank knitted in greens , rust and blue , what a fabulous piece.

My second order was waiting when I got home, and the cord dungarees which I’d been really hoping would fit are terrific,I’m so happy .
The cord dungarees are the child of cord Annies with Jessa dungarees, both of which are my most worn items.

Countmeout · 30/12/2024 18:53

Thank you @IlovePond .

Today’s delivery.
Keeping the bandana in blue.
Alda t shirt. Not for me. I did not like the sleeves and it’s a bit big anyway. Lovely colour of blue though.
Cotton jumper in garden green. Too big in the size I normally wear.

faustina · 30/12/2024 19:07

Thank you @IlovePond - I hate it when the thread gets so full - it's like typing in slow motion when you want to say anything

Also - congratulations on your Christmas jumper achievement!

IlovePond · 30/12/2024 19:29

Thanks, guys.

I could get on with the Alda tee when I tried it last summer - just a bit too thin and baggy, but lovely colour.

Thanks @faustina - I set myself a target and I have achieved it 😹😹😹

Thanks @IlovePond Still dithering over my sale purchases over here, mainly the post office feels too far… and anticipating more to be added to the sale after new years??

@Theteapotsbrokenspout i kept the herringbone jumpsuit, even at full price! But I haven’t worn it yet. I think it needs a pair of chunky heeled boots to raise it up a little bit. I am not sure if it’s flattering or not, maybe it’s the side buttons that show a contrast at one’s widest point. That said I found it ok to get in and out, more easy to get off strangely. It’s very comfortable though. It looks rubbish with something underneath. I haven’t mastered it yet!

Oh! @faustina i actually have the piglet in bed housecoat! I had a miscarriage sadly in October and wanted a present for my body to make it feel all safe and warm. I got it in a sale, Black Friday I'm assuming. It is so friggin cosy. Bulky but the bulk softens down after some wear. I am camouflaged with our new living room colour in it (mushroom I think). And my partner got me matching pyjamas for Christmas (monogrammed no less, I laughed my socks off). If you have a cold house I recommend it! (Also piglet in bed customer service is dreamy)

faustina · 30/12/2024 20:41

@Nosejug - I'm so sorry for your loss. That sounds like just the ticket for @ScottishMouse - and the swanky monogrammed pyjamas!

Netcam · 30/12/2024 20:44

Here are my Brora JL sake cardigan and trousers, since the Toast stuff is going back.

@Snowyowl78 I obviously haven’t got the knack of getting in and out of it yet, I’ve just tried it on again and it was marginally easier. I was a bit worried the crossover part might stretch the way I was getting my arms out. I do really like it though.
So sorry to hear about your loss@Nosejug .

IlovePond · 30/12/2024 20:47

That looks lovely on you @Netcam

@Netcam - that looks great. what a perfect length!

VivienneDelacroix · 30/12/2024 20:54

Thank you for the new thread.
In the spirit of the discussion on the last thread, here are my non-instagrammable photos of my sales purchases. I love the cotton-cashmere check dress in theory and it feels lovely, but it does nothing for me and hangs off my boobs like a tent.
The seaweed cord dress I like, but I don't think it's love.

For reference, I'm a Sz 14, 5'7". The check dress almost reaches the floor. Cord hits mid-calf.

@TosstTastic nothing wrong with Mrs Pepperpot!

New thread for an - almost - new year.

ScottishMouse · 30/12/2024 21:08

So sorry for your loss @Nosejug
@VivienneDelacroix i love both of these dresses and think both look good on you. I wanted the cotton cashmere one to work for me but the large check felt overwhelming as I am short. It’s fabulous though.
In other news, I have just nabbed my favourite Toast sweater on eBay which I had to sell on in a smaller size as it did not fit anymore. Delighted to have got it in a bigger size, so will happily send some sale purchases back now. I’m hoping the herringbone pull on trousers and the (second go at the) onyx stripe dress work, but the rest can go back.
