M&S beauty advent calendar unboxing!

Excited for this year as I didn't get one last year. Shall we say no spoilers before 7am?

I had last year's version and I have to say this year's first few things aren't quite as exciting.
I will, I'm sure, be able to put a few items in my daughter's and my DIL's stockings and no doubt save one or two to 'regift' later.
FWIW, the first 6 days of 2023 gave us:
1 Small Clinique lipstick, 2 Percy & Reed hair serum, 3 Nuxe dry oil, 4 Murad SPF moisturiser, 5 Pixi lip gloss, 6 Full size This Works deep sleep body cocoon.

@VeronicaBeccabunga oh I hope we get nuxe this year- I was really happy with all those products and only have some of the lipstick and gloss left. Really hoping this years picks up a bit and they’re saving the good stuff for later!

I missed last years calendar, sounds like a good start in 2023.

Fingers crossed it does improve and we can get something to wow us all (but not that WOW hair stuff in the white spray)

I agree with a lot of the other posters, hugely underwhelmed compared to previous years, all getting very samey. If it continues I’ll try a different calendar next year. Couldn’t believe it was another nail polish so soon!

Well, at least we’re all agreeing it’s underwhelming.

Regardless, if the vanity case itself was on sale in Oliver Bonas, it probably wouldnt cost much less than £30 anyway! The products are free when I think of it that way 🙃

Nope I would not pay that much for the case, so to me its not 'free' nothing ever is.

Something by Nuxe would be most welcome. Or Emma Hardie or Clinique. Will keep my fingers crossed.

DD and I both tried to palm today's nail polish off on each other, so that's a bit of a DOD for both of us. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good one.

I'm glad that the top I bought to get this , I returned but still not worth £50 for the products I'll actually use. Not impressed so far. And I spend a lot in M&S

Very happy with Clinique cleansing balm.

However, help me out please. It doesn’t appear to have any fragrance at all. Is that right, or have I got bloody Covid again?

Yeah!

Todays surprise is much better, not used much of Clinique's skincare, so looking forward to trying this balm.

@bluebeck no it does not have any fragrance, hopefully you are fine!

Also very pleased, love this balm and will use when my Elemis runs out. Would have loved a bigger size but I shouldn’t complain!

I won't use the balm myself will pop in my DIL's Xmas stocking.

Balm is perfect for a couple of upcoming breaks away. Used it before and is good but with no 7 cleansing balm a fraction of the price I go for that one and it does just as good if not the same as Clinique.

Pleased with the Clinique balm, good travel size.
Last year's Day 7 was Nails Inc varnish, there were two last year so same as this time.
Last year's cleanser was a full-sized REN wash-off gel, which I used but wouldn't buy.

That ren face wash last year was one of my favourites! I've rebought it twice. I think I love the smell more than anything

I'm putting the mini skincare items into my travel kit. I'm away next weekend so won't have to wait too long
