I want to smell amazing

I'm off to a work conference soon - can anyone recommend me a perfume that will be strong and will make people think "ooh she smells amazing" I hardly ever get that comment. I want to make an impression and my work crush is going to be there

It sounds like we have similar tastes. Which Cinnabar are you wearing? Estee Lauder relaunched it a few years ago and I can't get on with the new version. DH chases bottles of the old formula round the world for me! 😄

It's very annoying when after twenty five years of wearing something they just withdraw or reinvent it, and DD describes it as " what Mummy smells like". 😡

La Flaneuse from Beauty Pie - it's citrusy, woody, floral, fresh and oh so sexy all at once. It's also ridiculously long lasting and an absolute steal price wise.

Whatever you choose how you like it and wear it for a couple of days before your important conference, so you know if the smell is really "yours". Good luck and do report back how, ahem, the conference went! ;)

A dear friend wears pomegranate noir by Jo Malone and it’s beautiful and distinctive. Every time I see her, I can smell it and it’s not to overpowering.

Diptyque Do Son - the best scent ever... guaranteed comments. Any Diptyque perfume, come to that.

I always get compliments when I wear Portrait of a Lady by Frederic Malle. It’s flippin awesome.

La vie est la belle strong but demure, soft and timeless

I’m one of those who gets migraines from strong smelling perfumes. Sometimes it’s so bad that I’m actually sick. I dread having to sit near someone with strong smelling perfumes.

Noted aromas Monte Carlo, which is a great dupe for the eyewateringly expensive Baccarat Rouge. It makes me feel sexy and powerful! It doesn’t last all day, but at that price you can slosh it on throughout the day.

Noted aromas is a great way to test different perfumes actually, they sell little sample bottles of all of them (dupes) for a fiver.

I recently bought this and I’m constantly complimented about the fragrance, bought on a whim but I’ve never had this reaction before!

Strong perfumes give me asthma attacks. I've had to move to a different seat at church because a lady who always sits in a particular spot wears a perfume that made me cough so badly!

Check he isn't asthmatic first!

Haha he's not but thank you. I honestly don't intend to make anyone ill, just a stronger smelling perfume than usual but I won't douse myself in it.

The only time I've ever been stopped several times about the scent I wear is when I've been wearing Molecules 01.
It's quite one note and is different on different people
For a more neutral work accent I've had people tell me I smell great wearing Chloe's eau d perfume.
My luscious pick me up scent is Aqua Universalis by Maison Francis Kurkdjian and for evening Bijou Romantique Etat Libre d'Orange (but it's discontinued so you'd have to settle for an eBay purchase).
The thing is as others have said it's so so personal.. .A good browse would help. Are you near London?
