Oh crikey!
Some of the reviews did say it was neat on the waist
compared to the hips?
What size did you get in relation to your real life size?
Thanks for the feedback @MsDastardley

I got my usual size 12. It fits, but is much smaller on the waist than the patch pocket skirt. The waistband is quite deep, and has several lines of horizontal stitching. It’s double thickness at front due to wrap. Maybe it’s just me! It’s a lovely skirt, and I was planning on wearing it lots. Maybe not when I have to sit at a desk all day.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/11/2024 21:32

Hello :) Just marking the page. I have to say that not much of Toasts collection is really catching my eye just now. Not even the knitwear really. Not a bad thing for my purse!!

neveradullmoment99 · 08/11/2024 21:33

I do really quite like the cord ecru skirt. Not sure how much I would wear it though as it is pretty pale.

Snowyowl78 · 09/11/2024 10:52

Has anyone ever seen this jumper before? It looks like the reverse of a jumper I own - where the stripe is biscuit coloured along with the collar and cuffs! It might be small for me though so am wondering about size….

Thanks for new thread @Countmeout

Hi everyone - I’m new to Toast. Going away for a few days next week and am after a pair of non-jeans trousers to wear with boots and a jumper. I’ve got my eyes on the Gabi cord pull ons. I am pear shaped with a big bum and hips and relatively small waist and quite skinny legs. Generally wear a size 12-14 on the bottom. Does anyone know whether they would work for me with my body shape, or do I just need to order and try on?

You sound quite similar to me, I have the Gabbi Cords in size 12 and they are fine. I wear them with a belt though as my waist is smaller than bum. I bought the 10 and the 12 and kept the 12 as I figured better to give myself growing room 😅, so they're a bit oversized as I'm generally a definite 12 sometimes 14 elsewhere.

The 10 were a better fit on my legs so I would say the 14 might be too big if you're a similar build.

BigHeartyTruffle · 10/11/2024 14:22

Thanks @Brackenfield ! Sounds like the 12 should work then, I’ve ordered the 14 as well just in case.

Has anyone bought or tried this? The price is £££ but maybe it will make it to the sale. Reviews look good, and I like a classic with a twist. Looks like it could be a winter alternative to my favourite ever Toast knit - a cropped navy boiled wool cardi with interesting sleeves from a few years back.

I wonder if it's the same one!!

mizu · 11/11/2024 21:32

@ScottishMouse that's lovely but oh my days the price!

I had the neat wool cardigan in brown (bracken?) a few years ago and sold it as I wasn't wearing it much but so regret it. Love a little cardi ♥️

ScottishMouse · 11/11/2024 21:40

I love those neat cardis @mizu but not so much on me since I have put on weight around my middle, I find them a bit too neat these days! But this one looks deliciously roomy with the batwing sleeves, yet cropped so not too sloppy. But yes, the price is slightly bonkers.

Beautiful cardigan. But £245 is a bit much, would be keen if it was in the sale.

MiracleToast · 13/11/2024 10:27

So are we predicting a little sale in November?

AmethystMoonShine · 13/11/2024 10:34

I think there was last year...maybe one of those over a long weekend ones? I think it was mainly summer things though - bits unsold (returns) from the end of summer sale probably.

IlovePond · 13/11/2024 10:43

Ooh, I would like a mini sale - the last one was a bit of a washout for me personally, so hope the next one is better!

Also, Kindred gift?? I am sure there’s room in my house for - at least - one more bauble…

Those socks were a good gift @TheDeepLemonHelper - summer 23, I think. Winter 23 was the basket and this summer was the bandana.

I wasn’t a member of Kindred before that, but the previous gift was the enamel mug and one shortly before that was the furoshiki wraps.

The last few gifts have been great - long may they continue, (many of us certainly spend enough throughout the year 😹 and deserve a freebie!)

MiracleToast · 13/11/2024 14:43

Oh yes, a Christmassy themed kindred gift would be lovely. I wasn’t a part of the club when the decorations were offered. The garland looked beautiful.

A gift and a sale would be a lovely flurry of excitement! It would really get me in the mood for the season ✨

IlovePond · 13/11/2024 15:04

🤞@MiracleToast

Brackenfield · 13/11/2024 15:35

I have a tropical holiday planned for February (lucky me, I know!) so wouldn't actually mind a few summery bits in a sale...although I could also be convinced I need knitwear...!

faustina · 13/11/2024 17:56

@Snowyowl78 I want that too!

MiracleToast · 13/11/2024 19:10

The golden sand colour is gorgeous
