Thank you @Countmeout !

AmethystMoonShine · 07/11/2024 17:17

Thanks for the shiny new Christmas thread @Countmeout 🎄
I noticed I made a few sale purchases in late November last year...I'd forgotten about that - must have been a mini sale as the proper winter sales starts soon as the last Christmas posting date has passed ( I think)

Countmeout · 07/11/2024 17:29

Poor offerings on the wish list this week (I know, gift horse and all that!!!)

Thanks @Countmeout - off to enter the competition.

Poplinskirt · 07/11/2024 18:25

Thanks for the new thread
Went into a Toast shop today and damn I like quite a few things 🤦‍♂️
It was very busy and bustling
The staff were bragging LOUDLÝ as to what the last customer had spent .
Ugh

Things I liked
The knitwear -all of it !
Velvet trousers
Herringbone trousers
The cord-all of it
The baubles
The socks
The mittens, armwarmers etc

The black denim wrap skirt -completely passed me by online but this is lovely.

Any advice regarding size would be helpful, am a 10/12 in Toast, reviews are contrary -size up, size down
Did not stay long, the bragging got on my nerves.

IlovePond · 07/11/2024 18:38

How odd of them @Poplinskirt - not very nice to overhear 🙀

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 07/11/2024 19:04

Thanks for the new thread @Countmeout . Very busy at work with budgets currently but keeping an eye on the toast thread and finding time to enter the Christmas wish list.

MiracleToast · 07/11/2024 19:04

Dropping in to mark my place! Thanks for the new thread ♥️

Away to look at the new wish list 🙏🏽

mizu · 07/11/2024 19:12

IlovePond · 07/11/2024 18:38

How odd of them @Poplinskirt - not very nice to overhear 🙀

Edited

This particular shop has form for this type of thing
Tbf one of the staff looked mortified

IlovePond · 07/11/2024 19:26

I know this is a purely academic question, (I am absolutely not going to be winning), but did you all read the cutlery set as one x four sets, (as in for a family of four)?

I first read it as you’d be potentially the proud owner of your own personal posh cutlery set. (TBH, exactly the sort of thing I would do🙀). But 1x4 lots of knives, etc. makes rather more sense 😹😹😹

Stravaig · 07/11/2024 19:27

4 x the pictured place setting :)

IlovePond · 07/11/2024 19:31

I sadly suspected it was just me @Stravaig 😹

In my defence, I did think it was a bit weird!

I have been eyeing up that jug for a while - if there had been a discount I would have bought it at the last Kindred event I went to. I have no use for it, nor anywhere to display it, but it is calling to me. I have visited it a few times irl but restrained myself.

Liking those candlesticks too - no use for those either, but could probably justify squeezing them in somewhere!

Stravaig · 07/11/2024 19:31

I've been doing similar figurings with the Cove stoneware! It's just me these days, so I have very little need for 4 x dinner plates, but 1 of each piece would be lovely (and comes to the same value). I wonder if ...

IlovePond · 07/11/2024 19:33

I’ve had my eye on those too @Stravaig - they are very smooth to the touch and rather nice.

OftenOrange · 07/11/2024 19:39

Thanks for the thread @Countmeout
I was looking at my sale buys last Winter and see it was all Summer stuff, have to wait until March for the yummy knitwear !

I bought the Annie cords in barley and they don’t disappoint . The colour is gorgeous and they’re really cosy .

Countmeout · 07/11/2024 19:40

I read it as 1 set @IlovePond . I do like a personal cutlery set though so maybe it was wishful thinking.

I think some shops make you feel uncomfortable @Poplinskirt .

And talking of awkward did anyone think the live last week was slightly at best I relaxed if not quite uncomfortable.
I don’t think they’re fully live atm as they show that twirl which I don’t think can be actually live live.
I liked the yellow tank outfit but that was about it.

Stravaig · 07/11/2024 19:42

I've gone for the velvet dress, paper chain kit, crackers, chair cushions, and dinner plates (in hopes of hypothetical substitution request :D
